Thank you for the shout out - we are so proud of NUA student Engy Jerrouj who has published her first book ‘Blue Birds’.
Engy was born in Syria and grew up there until the beginning of the conflict.
After earning a scholarship, she left the country to study at United World College in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Engy began writing a story called 'Blue Birds' to help her cope with being away from her family and home. At 19, she's finally published the book, which highlights children's perspectives of war and displacement.
