A quick trip to the shops with the kiddies on this snowy day and I for the first time in ages purchased a magazine. I get to page 6 and see this. Don’t be embarrassed- yes, it’s just one of those things- no! It’s NOT just one of those things. The article is correct, it can be caused by poses with increased abdominal/pelvic pressure. However addressing pelvic floor weakness is then 100% necessary, not just a last thought. If you experience this, speak with your yoga instructor openly and honestly to address what’s happening and be given extra advice on how breathing and activation can help minimise the pressure.
