This weekend is Run Norwich, a really exciting day in the life of our beautiful city! About 8000 runners run 10km around the streets of the city centre, raising money for a wide range of causes as well as for NCFC Community Sports Foundation. Before the main adult race begins, there is a junior race of 1km. We know lots of our families have people taking part in the race and others who will be there to support them. James Roberts is running and Sarah Shirras is marshalling by the petrol station on Rose Lane, just after the runners pass 5km and start to climb a mean hill! It's one of the most exciting days of the year! We are all set and ready to welcome back our children across the school and, even more importantly, welcome children for their first ever day at school or at Nursery. It's a big day for them and for their families and we know some will find this big next step quite difficult.... and that's usually the adults! We are excited to see every one of you! It's a big day at school today, no more so than because three of our wonderful office team are leaving us, after a collective 68 years of service to our school community. When we discovered one of them had never had a ride on our minibus, minibus karaoke was born! We drove around Thorpe St Andrew singing our socks off! What a start to their last day! So, on the last day of the school year we say our final goodbyes to this fabulous bunch! We couldn't be prouder as they move on to high school; we'll miss them but know they are ready to go!
