Hi Everyone
As you may be aware, there is a second round of committee elections open. We have a few vacant positions at the moment, so if you fancy giving it a go next year, please nominate yourself on the SU website. We’re looking for a:
Vice President
Union council rep
Physio rep
Equality and diversity officer
Health and safety officer

Being on committee is a great experience and doesn’t require too much work!! Feel free to message us if you have any questions. Nominations close on the 26th May so please make sure they’re submitted by then!

PITCH SIDE FIRST AID COURSE CANCELLED.
We are really sorry to announce that the pitch side first aid course due to be taking place this coming weekend has been cancelled--we have just been informed of this by the SU.

Anyone who has already paid will revive a full refund from the SU, with the timescale for this to be announce as soon as we know.

We aim to run the course again in January (provided there is no lockdown 3.0) so please keep an eye out for this!

Once again we apologise for the cancellation and the delay in letting you all know. If you have any questions ease don't hesitate to message us!

PITCH SIDE FIRST AID COURSE 2020- UPDATE
Firstly, thank you to all those who signed up this year. I'm sure you are wondering whether the course will run this weekend. Unfortunately we are still waiting to be informed whether or not it will go ahead. We're trying to chase up an answer and will update you again via this page as soon as we know.

INTERNATIONAL SPORTS MEDICNE CONFERENCE 2020

Grab this fantastic opportunity to interact with 25 leaders in sports medicine from across Europe and America!! They are all highly regarded and will share information and advanced techniques on the latest research in management of sports injuries, treatment and return to play.

Our friends a King's College London (KCL) SEMSoc are hosting a Zoom Talk hosted by various various professionals allied to Sports and Exercise Medicine. These include consultant SEM physicians, sports Cardiologists, and consultants in Physical Therapy and Musculoskeletal Medicine.

All of the speakers have been involved in very high level sports events- this will be a great way to learn more about the specialty and the career opportunities which it brings!

The talk will be at 17:00 on Monday 19th October

Hi everyone!

The Univeristy of Nottingham’s SEM department have been in contact and asked us to distribute a survey about physical activity and mental health during the coronavirus pandemic. I’m sure you will agree this is an important area of research, so would be grateful if you could participate. There’s a £50 Amazon voucher up for grabs for completing it, and will take around 15 minutes.
