Mama Bear Childcare is an Ofsted registered early years education and home from home childcare provision based at the home of Marie and her children. Marie and her Daughter Grace as her Childminding Assistant run the setting. The setting is located within the main village of Salhouse, in NR13 and has good links with Salhouse C of E Primary School & Fledglings Nursery. The childminding service is available Tuesday - Thursday between the hours of 7.30am & 5.30pm. The setting is able to provide early years care for children aged from 9 months – 3years and holiday care for children 3 - 5 years (space permitting). In the setting Mama Bear Childcare delivers the early years foundation framework to all under 5's. Marie and Grace offer an ‘Invitation to Play’ setting which allows children to direct their own play by offering open-ended, meaningful resources to explore. Marie and Grace set up lots of little areas with different resources for the children to discover and play with. It maybe as simple as a setting with a wooden stacking rainbow and matching coloured cloths with a few wooden animals or building blocks along with unusual objects for investigation, this sparks their imagination and they come to the toys with fresh eyes and new ideas for play. Toys and resources are rotated regularly to allow the children to experience new ideas and appreciate what’s on offer over and over again, just like when getting new toys! As well as a large range of wooden resources (these are a firm favourite) Marie and Grace have many other toys, games & activities on offer; role play, dolls, 9 month plus baby suitable toys, train set, dolls house, play kitchen, books, crafts, and outside there is a wooden playhouse with wooden kitchen, ride on toys, games, swing, climbing frame and messy play tray. The setting accepts payment via the Government Tax Free Childcare Scheme and Government 30 hours Working Families Funding or BACS for private hours over the funded entitlement.

Daily Care:
£65.00 for 10 hours. 7.30am - 5.30pm. Funding:
up to 30 hours government funding for working families for 9months+
up to 30 hours government funding for working families & 15 hours NEO funding for 2 year olds. Government funding NOT available for 3+ years. Funding is between 7.30am-5.30pm
(£6.50 per hour charge for non funded hours & during school holidays)
Private day rate includes snacks, drinks and consumables. Mama Bear Childcare does not provide main meals, nappies, wipes or clothing. We also do not charge a 'top up' on top of the funded entitlement.
