Too wet to go outside again today, so this morning the children did some collective mark making. 🖍️ we use this opportunity to talk about what colours we have and what we are drawing. We’ve had lots of flowers and a ambulance (nenaw) 🚑. All ages can enjoy this activity and today’s children range from 14m - 3yrs.

We’ve been rearranging the rooms to create a safe space for those who can’t yet walk.
This larger of the two rooms was just the right size for the older children, those who can walk and run about without the worry of stepping on their younger friends.
All the resources are within easy reach.
We have plenty of toys to explore, along with the play kitchen, reading corner, and the floor space and table, which we change up twice daily to keep their interests flowing.
This room is also used for their sleep space. We use low-level mesh beds with their own fitted sheet and cellular blanket, and travel cots for the under 18 months.
The room is separated by a soft retractable gate linking into the non-walkers room so siblings can see and hear each other.

This smaller of the two rooms was just the right size for this purpose.
All the safe resources are within easy reach.
We have plenty of toys to explore, along with soft dolls, puzzles, silicone items that are safe to taste and have interesting textures to soothe their little teeth.
This room also holds some of the resources and provides a private area for changing nappies.

With it being such a wet horrible day today, the ducks came to us! The great thing about being located along the beautiful Norfolk Broads even though we’re a good walk away from both Salhouse Broad and the 2 duck ponds we have in the village, a few of the ducks decided to come further inland for some treats! The children and my cats loved seeing them out the window while Grace filled the tuff tray with fresh water and fed them some oats and bread. 🦆🍞💧
