Great day celebrating Prof Havenith’s retirement in Loughborough this week. A chance to catch up with good friends and discuss future ideas. Couldn’t have asked for a better lab to have worked in; soo many valuable lessons.

Last Friday I (GH) had a magnificent day celebrating my (partial) retirement from the university with many of my former PhD students, post docs and direct colleagues. The day was filled with presentations, the obligatory pub stop and a nice evening at our place. It’s amazing to hear how the careers of my PhD students and post docs has taken them in different directions, both geographically and content wise; all doing great work. Looking forward to winding down my uni duties over the next year, writing up mountains of unpublished data (hopefully), and who knows what else. I am sure, science/research /advisory work will remain part of my future! Keep in touch!!
