UEA GRADUATION - Sportspark customer notice

Graduation is a special occasion for the University, celebrating the hard work and achievements of our graduating students. As previously communicated, Sportspark is proud to be part of this celebration and can confirm that the graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2026 will take place on-site throughout July 2026.

Due to the high number of visitors attending each ceremony, we have worked closely with the Graduation Team to minimise any disruption. However, some adjustments and restrictions to facility access will be in place during this period. Further details will be shared in the coming weeks. We strongly encourage all Sportspark users to keep their contact details up to date, as well as following us on social media, downloading our app, and enabling app notifications.

📌 IMPORTANT INFORMATION

🚗 CAR PARK ACCESS

The Sportspark car park will be reserved exclusively for Graduation use from Tuesday 7 July to Tuesday 21 July (inclusive) and will not be available for general Sportspark customers.

Alternative free parking (including accessible spaces) will be available in the main University car park during this period. All customers MUST register their vehicle on the ANPR tablets in Sportspark Reception on each visit to avoid a Parking Charge Notice (PCN).

🚦 INCREASED TRAFFIC

Although most Graduation attendees will travel via park and ride, increased traffic is still expected. We advise all customers to allow extra time when visiting Sportspark.

🏟 FACILITY CLOSURES

Halls 1–3: Closed from Wednesday 8 July to Monday 20 July
Halls 4 & 5: Closed from Friday 10 July to Saturday 18 July
Athletics Track: Closed from Wednesday 8 July to 13:00 on Tuesday 21 July

Additionally, the main ground floor corridor will be inaccessible during this time. Access to Halls 4 & 5 (until 10 July) and the Spring Gymnastics Centre will be via the first-floor corridor. Pushchairs may be left in designated bays. If you have any concerns or additional needs, please speak to a member of staff who will be happy to assist.

We kindly request that noise is kept to a minimum in the first-floor corridor, as ceremonies will be taking place in Halls 1–3.

🌿 OUTDOOR ACCESS

Graduation guests will access the venue through external areas, specifically the track and adjacent walkway, to avoid entering the internal Reception. We ask outdoor facility users to be mindful when entering and exiting these spaces.

Final Year Students Graduating Summer 2026

This is an update on an upcoming session for all HSC final year students who are due to graduate in summer 2026.

The session “Your professional journey – where will it take you?” led by Cate Morgan, Senior Clinical Manager, NHS East of England” will promote the Healthcare Learner Toolkit App and Future Ready webinar series, including bitesize sessions on interview preparation, questions and success. Additionally there will be information about the First Destination Survey which is now open to all final year students who graduate this summer.

This employability event will take place on 10th June from 14:00 - 16:00 at the NNUH in the Benjamin Gooch Lecture Theatre, East Atrium Level 1.

Please note that you do not need to be on placement at NNUH to attend.

This session will be hugely beneficial to all final year MDT students, and we encourage you to attend where possible.
