Sad news to report. I attended the funeral of Mrs Kath Bass yesterday. She taught for many years at the Hewett from 1971 in the Child Development department which incorporated the Nursery. She worked alongside Mrs June Betts. This department was groundbreaking and revolutionary. It had great influence on the lives of many, many people. Much later on Kath work with the Sixth Form team where she helped with University Applications, Counselling and all
Of the other aspects of the work done by the team. I had good chats with June Betts and Bob Maynard afterwards .

Music teacher Ian Lord who taught at Hewett from 1987 - 2003 sadly passed away a few weeks ago. His Service and Celebration Of Life will be held at 1.30pm on Tuesday 25th Oct at Saint Andrew’s Church, Mill Street, Buxton, NR10 5JE followed by tea/coffee and cake at Buxton Village Hall (across the road from the church).

All welcome to come and share happy memories. Wear casual clothing if you prefer.

Please private message Caron Robinson so that we can have a rough idea of numbers.

Family flowers only please. We would appreciate any donations to go to 'Prostate Cancer Research' and 'Save Our Spaniels' Charities either sent to Ivan Fisher Funeral Home in Aylsham, or via a collection pot on the day.
