Hey Guys,

Long time, no see...
.. I think its fair to say that life has many surprises with its fair share of ups and downs.

Since planning to launch in 2024, my Journey has changed course slightly to be more of an all encompassing blog style, and coaching venture supporting individuals explore wider mental health struggles while remaining focussed on the original aim of Feel 4 Real, that being sharing the day to day life and experiences of family carers as well as those with additional needs and disabilities.

I am so excited at some of the changes that were happening behind the scenes and I cannot wait to share with you all all the upcoming projects, online shop, various resources and services that I have been working on for the past year and will continue grow.

I feel this is the start of a truly wonderful chapter and its going to be a journey we can all take together as we build this inclusive, safe and non-judgemental community.

The Main Aim of Feel 4 Real is to promote and validate this statement that your feelings are valid and you should be allowed to safely explore, sit and acknowledge these feelings.

Too many of us are made to feel guilty for how we feel, and Feel 4 Real will be honest and open communication about the Ups and Downs of life as a family carer and for those with Disabilities, health needs and additional needs.

Firstly I wanted to apologise for being so quiet over the last week and a bit. This is because I have been working very hard behind the scenes to get everything ready, as well as starting a new job.

With all of this I have been creating a routine for myself, G, and the Blog. So it works best for everyone.

Going forward...

Wednesday's and Thursday's - Social Media Posts. (Unless I need to let you guys know of anything or opportunities in the meantime)

Friday's - Blog Posts published (This is for the Carers and General Blog and Articles).

Saturday's - Blog Posts for those with additional needs and disabilities

Of course all of this is subject to change dependent on our own personal routine and commitments, but we will always let you know.

As we know first hand how much structure and routine is important, and any changes need to be thoroughly planned and thought through where we are able to do so.

Something I always have to remind myself of.

Its so hard trying to live a life and comparing it to others around you, while also trying to measure up to the expectations of those around us, like Social Services and Support Services.

We need to learn to measure our progress by what is progress for us, not what other people expect and definitely not by what other people are doing around us as a comparative.

When Barksleigh Coaching is open and taking on clients, This can definitely be something we can explore in terms of what it means for you.

As even though I have to remind myself, I have learnt to cope with those thoughts when they arise and how to deal with everyday as to not measure our progress against others and against expectation.
