Full Circle Education offers 1:1 or small group educational tutoring and/or therapeutic intervention. There is no 'one size fits all approach' to learning here and therefor tutoring sessions are tailored to each individual. I believe that children and young people can not learn fully and reach their potential unless they are understood as individuals, that they are emo
tionally regulated and that they have a positive sense of self. Education and learning should be fun, engaging, practical, exploratory and accessible, no matter what the learning need of the pupil. About Me
I am an experienced teacher with over 10 years working in a complex need school. When teaching I was an exemplary classroom practitioner, demonstrating nothing less than good to outstanding practice. I believe in having high expectations of all pupils and have effective behaviour and classroom management, using clear boundaries and positive behaviour strategies. I am successful in raising attainment for underachieving pupils. I have experience in leadership skills, multidisciplinary working and outreach work in mainstream schools. I am flexible in my approach and I am skilled at differentiation across the curriculum incorporating different teaching approaches and strategies including PECS, TEACCH, Signalong, a sensory curriculum and sensory diet
I am passionate about children’s learning and aim to use the children’s interests and ideas as much as is possible in their learning. With a caring and gentle approach I am quick to build a rapport with pupils. Behaviour is communication. For some children this is the only way they cLead the Behaviour Support Team for the school I worked in and was a Norfolk Steps Tutor; organising and delivering training to school staff in de-escalation techniques and safe, positive ways to physically intervene when children unsafe behaviour
