After a long break I am back in the office preparing for impending academic year. New year, new students, new events and partners, so it is with great sadness that we see Epic Daza departing Team CCN. Darren has been with us from the very beginning, and has worked tirelessly to create and maintain Team CCN. Darren informed me of his decision some weeks ago but I just wanted to take this opportunity to publicly thank him for all his hard work over the years – Daza you’ve been epic mate.
So where do we go from here? In due course I will be in touch with the team to discuss the future and how we progress from here and I shall be very interested to hear your thoughts and any suggestions you may have. Phil.

Sad to say that in my 5th successful year I’ve decided to step down from managing Team City College Norwich in search of ventures new!

Over the years I’ve been lucky enough to gain support and funding from our main sponsors City College Norwich as well as valuable support from our co-sponsors; Torq Fitness, Streetlife Cycles, GreenOil, Chain Reaction and KTM Bike Industries plus a few others along the way.

Together we have built a hugely successful MTB specific race team, one which has achieved amazing race results regionally, nationally and even globally including;

1st place
Dusk til Dawn (in Solo Female, 2 x Male Pairs and 2 x Team categories)
Thetford Winter Series (multiple Races and multiple Series wins)
Bontrager 2412 (24 hours Solo and Team categories plus 12 hour Mixed Pairs)
National 24 hour Solo Champs (Male)!

Mountain Mayhem (Male Solo)
European Champs (Female Solo)
Transcontinental race
Dusk til Dawn (3 man, Male Pairs and Female Solo).

With many series podiums and a total of 6 regional champ titles, 1 National 24 hour Solo Champ title and most recently our young Sophie winning the National Champs (Youth) title it’s been an amazing roller coaster of a ride!

I would personally like to thank Andrew Manning, Jason Smith, Glenn Stanford, Shaun Aldous, Tom Stanford, Alex Nichol, Richard Dunnett, Shane Ashby, Erica Auger, Martyn Dunnett and Sophie Wright for their amazing work, results and camaraderie. Not forgetting Phil Sayers of City College - without all of you none of this would have been possible!!

Also a quick mention to our fellow competitor teams, clubs and individuals alike (you know who you are) for all your support, healthy and much very much enjoyed rivalry along the way!

Team CCN has been described by many as ‘my baby’ over the years and for this reason I’ve chosen to step away as well as down and hand over the future of the team in its entirety. With solid foundations to grow I wish all the team continued success!!
