My accompanying poem displayed as a receipt alongside my Supermarket Sweepin’ print gives context to the personal layered meaning of my recent work. I’m a private person when it comes to my personal life, making this piece was extremely difficult, and then exhibiting it felt exposing beyond belief.

Like a yellow sticker, my dad was bold and exuberant, which is why I think I feel inclined to share this today, on the second Father’s Day now without him.

The poem itself is typed up on a typewriter I unexpectedly found during the clearing out of his flat which I couldn’t help but hold on to. The initial rhyming couplets of the poem are identical to the sweet, soppy poems he’d occasionally write in my childhood cards.

Like with an actual receipt after shopping, once typewritten, I put it in my pocket (wearing my dad’s denim jacket I’ve since adopted, where plenty of his supermarket receipts full of yellow sticker bargains temporarily lived) until it went on display.

There’s much about this piece that makes it a collaboration in a way, but for now I’ll leave it just with the typed up writing I wanted with the print❤️

60x80cm framed with a zingy yellow mounting to accentuate that sweet deckle edge.

Here’s some close up’s of my print that originally was solely designed to be a celebration of the beautiful yellow sticker and fear of their potential disappearance in an age of AI powered technology which already has been pushing out the good old reduced sticker💔

Today 〰️Saturday 8th〰️ is the last day to catch Fabricate: a technicians’ showcase at where my brand new print and (more nerve rackingly) poem is being exhibited alongside the work of talented colleagues.

Open 12 until 4pm if you’re out and about in the fine city that is of course, Norwich🌞

Yellow sticker appreciation - forever and always💛❤️

I made screenprint separations using my most recent yellow stickered food purchases, some of them easier to peel off the packaging than others. I wanted to retain the imperfections of the labels, whether it’s the creases, torn parts or damage to the inks surface.

There’s something about the juxtaposition of the graphic yellow sticker digitally printed in the masses against with the human quality of the hand written price often scrawled in pen by the shop worker and the physical (often multi layered) attachment onto the item.

Is it annoying I don’t have a photo of all 3 screens together and that the left screen is upside down? Yes it is!!! But here you go anyway🙃 Just nice to have a bit of print studio action back on my page again!

Always analogue ✂️

It’s which I know there’s a day for everything but I bloody love collage. It combines my love of printed ephemera, type and graphic design all together💘

No matter what I design, I always go back to hand drawn/hand cut ways as it gives me a way to playfully navigate composition within an image.

These collections and collage cuttings were part of my process designing a print celebrating my love of the yellow sticker but evolved and ended up becoming an extremely personal piece.

I’ll be sure to share more of the development of the final work but if you’re curious and local to Norfolk then I have a print on display at as part of Fabricate: a technicians showcase on until the 8th June.

Hello!!! It’s been a while and a lot has changed since I’ve last been on here…

I feel this photo succinctly sums up the seemingly never-ending slippery road over the past couple of years with my business and self employment having to stop unexpectedly whilst l was behind the (metaphorical) wheel just trying not to crash amongst all the twists and turns my personal life brought.

Whilst I’m not exactly sure in what capacity I’ll be returning to what I previously was doing (my shop, markets, workshops etc), feel free to stick along for the ride as I plan to share snippets of my practice, inspiration, (projects I’ve worked on but haven’t yet shared - there’s a quite a few!) and generally using this space more freely to share thoughts, ideas and print related goodness.

Thank you all so much for your love and support! My voice is practically broken from the weekend chatting to so many of you (lovely customers and amazing fellow stallholders) but I wouldn’t of had it any other way🌞

A big shout out must go out to and who do a stellar job of organising and running this brilliant inclusive market. Amber and Sara smash it every single time and this time was no exception (wasn’t the line this time round mega?!). Feeling grateful to be involved and grateful to those that come along to support us makers, you really are the best! (and usually have the best fashion sense for sure)🌟

Also I’m still chuffed I’ve managed to condense my whole stall (second photo) into my one cart, pretty good going hey?!

I’ve got my cart loaded up with all my stock which I’ve somehow managed to streamline to only 2 main boxes😱 (I’m usually doing double trips back and forth to the venue and my flat, carrying a ridiculous number of bag for life’s and roping my partner Brandon into essentially being loaded up like a donkey) so I don’t know what’s happened there!

I’ve charged my card reader, put batteries in my lights and I think I’m set for tomorrow yet still have the pre event jitters in anticipation/nerves and excitement!

Slot machine appreciation 🎰❤️

Just thought they deserved some attention all of their own. Yarmouth is just SO good for beautiful slot machines.

A mixture of old penny machines and current 2p ones here that I admired yesterday.

I do wonder more and more each time I’m in the amusements what will happen to all of the machines as we move to a cashless society. It must be hard enough to adapt all of the machines to new coins issued.

Imagine all arcade machines being adapted or made to have a reader that you just tapped😱 It just wouldn’t have the same appeal would it?!

There’s such a multi sensory allure to playing these machines!

If anyone knows of any good arcades/amusements (bonus points if they’re vintage) in other parts of the UK, then PLEASE let me know as I would love to visit more.

I could tell you my face here is a picture of the pure excitement and happiness of your purchases however it would be a lie as this is a reaction of sheer embarrassment after our initial attempt at a ‘going to the post office with your orders’ photo🤣
