🏃♀️🏅 What an incredible week at City Sports! 🏅🏃♂️
Our athletics journey got off to a fantastic start as some of our Year 5 and 6 children competed in the field events, including the long jump, high jump and throwing. Every single child achieved a top 8 finish, helping us secure 1st place overall in the field events against 20 other schools – an outstanding achievement!
The following day, our Year 3–6 athletes took to the track to compete in the heats for sprint races, relay races, hurdles and many more events, all hoping to earn a place in the finals. The determination, effort and resilience shown by every child was inspiring, with so many of our athletes successfully qualifying.
The excitement continued at the finals later in the week, where our children were simply amazing once again. From outstanding individual performances to brilliant teamwork in the relay races, every athlete gave their all and represented our school with pride.
A huge congratulations to all of our City Sports champions who were crowned winners in their events! 🥇
To top it all off, we finished 2nd overall across the competition – an incredible achievement and one that every single child should be immensely proud of.
Well done to all of our athletes for your hard work, determination and excellent sportsmanship. You have done yourselves and our school proud! 💙👏
