Monday’s Stay & Play at Aylsham became a little ocean adventure beneath the trees. Children shaped ocean‑themed playdough, and the mud kitchen turned into a seaside café serving pirate pizza, rockpool tea, mermaid muffins and seafood stew.

Across the forest, little explorers enjoyed sensory ocean play, catching fish in the water area and watching colours swirl through bubble painting and watercolour exploration. At the craft table, leaf sharks, bright jellyfish, clay sea creatures and nail‑and‑string creations all came to life.

We gathered for warm pancakes by the fire before ending the session by becoming sea animals through song and dance — a joyful, creative finish to a lovely morning in the woods.

We’re delighted to share that our Dandelion team has been named a Silver Winner in the prestigious 2026 Pearson National Teaching Awards.

This award recognises our educators who pour their hearts into creating magical, child‑led, nature‑rich education.

Day 6 & 7 — and the transformation at Aylsham is unbelievable!

The building is up — we can hardly believe it! It’s been a busy couple of days behind the scenes, and we are absolutely thrilled with how much has come together already. The structure is standing proud, and we’ve just begun staining the outside to bring that soft, natural finish we love.

We’re so excited to see this beautiful space grow day by day. 🌱

Adventure is calling…

Our Dandelion Holiday Club at Eaton offers forest school activities, woodland crafts, games and themed outdoor fun for children aged 3–9 — all led by fully qualified Dandelion staff.

With child‑led days entirely outdoors, little ones can follow their interests, from hammocks to the tool table.

Day 3 — and progress is blossoming at Aylsham!

From cutting back bramble bushes to revealing all the extra space we have to offer, today has been full of transformation. With a huge delivery of 400 pieces of wood, our new vision is really beginning to take shape.

Tuesday’s Stay & Play at Wymondham had such a lovely, creative rhythm to it. The children moved from one invitation to the next with so much curiosity — shaping willow into bubble wands, decorating leaves with acrylic pens and trying a little weaving with the natural materials around them.

Our playdough became a world of dinosaur footprints, while nearby little makers were busy building fairy houses with hammers, nails and buttons. Watercolours turned into sparkling crystal pictures as salt settled into the paint, and the mud kitchen was full of frozen flowers, coloured water and imaginative mixing.

As the morning warmed, we gathered for crumpets by the fire before settling together in the sunshine for a story — a gentle pause at the end of a beautifully busy session.

Renovations are well underway at Dandelion Aylsham. The perimeter is expanding, and materials are arriving thick and fast. Our new Seed Pod area for babies aged 9 months to 2 years is beginning to take shape, and we couldn’t be more excited.

We can’t wait to welcome our tiniest explorers into this beautiful new space very soon. 🌱
