The children in Sapphire Class have loved exploring space over the past few weeks, from alien crash landings and alien tea parties to making papier-mache planets and becoming astronauts. It has been out of this world! 👽🌍🚀🛸

Year 2 have been learning all about the art form of graffiti. They have focused on the work of Banksy and Basquiat and have been creating art pieces inspired by them. They then created a large graffiti style art work on the side of the Year 2 building to showcase to parents, families and the other children at home time. The children used brilliant creativity and team work skills to produce their artwork! 🎨

Year one had a fantastic time at Falcon Junior School this week. The school's science ambassadors set up some amazing activities for us, all around magnets. 🧲 We loved exploring the different ways we could use the magnets. Thanks very much for having us!

We invite you to celebrate Red Nose Day with us on Friday 21st March 2025 by wearing an item of red clothing with your school uniform. We are aiming to raise awareness for this worthy charity. This year, Red Nose Day aims to support those in need during the current living crisis, addressing issues such as lack of food and homelessness. Jade class have been learning to play glockenspiels in their music lessons. They have made sure they all hold the be**er correctly, and have worked hard to play in time with each other. 🎶

The children in Coral class have been looking at the artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.
The children then created their own artwork using his as an inspiration.
The children thought about the different sized brushes to use and the colours. Look out Basquiat, there is some competition with the amazing art happening in Sparhawk! 🎨 🖌️👩🏼‍🎨👨🏾‍🎨🧑🏽‍🎨
