Another great session from our Junior 2 MMA class!

Our junior programme is split into two age groups:

👊 Junior 1 — Ages 6–8
🔥 Junior 2 — Ages 9–14

With 15 junior classes every week, our programme gives children the opportunity to develop skills across all areas of martial arts:

🥋 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gi
🤼 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi
💪 Wrestling
🥊 Kickboxing
🔥 MMA

But for us, martial arts is about much more than learning how to fight.

Our classes help children develop confidence, discipline, resilience, fitness, coordination and problem-solving skills, while learning how to stay calm and perform under pressure.

Just as importantly, they get to make friends, have fun and become part of a positive team environment.

Whether they want to compete at the highest level or simply train for fun, build confidence and learn new skills, there’s a pathway for everyone at Ignite.

🔥 FIRST TITLE DEFENCE CONFIRMED! 🔥

Our very own Edvainer Injai will make the first defence of his Cage Warriors Academy Middleweight Title 🏆

Just three weeks after competing at the Amateur World Championships, Edvainer will be straight back in the cage against Sam Leatherland.

After claiming bronze at the IMMAF European Championships, putting together an incredible run of performances, winning 5 out of 6 fights this year and capturing two amateur titles, Edvainer has established himself as the #1 ranked amateur middleweight in the UK. 🇬🇧

Standing across from him will be Sam Leatherland, himself ranked inside the UK Top 5 amateur middleweights.

This is a fight a lot of people have wanted to see — and exactly the type of challenge we want. We want to test ourselves against the very best available.

World Championships ➡️ 3 weeks later ➡️ Cage Warriors Academy title defence.

What an amazing day at Ignite! 🔥🥋

A huge thank you to Professor Renato RT-BJJ for joining forces with us and delivering such a high-level competition training camp for the kids.

It was brilliant to see so many young athletes from different teams come together, train hard, push each other, learn, have fun and mix in with one another. Exactly what these camps should be about, developing as competitors while building friendships within the sport. 🙌

A massive thank you to every single kid who came and gave it their all, and to all the parents who made the journey, with some travelling a long way to be there. Your support makes days like this possible.

Hopefully the first of many Ignite x RT competition camps! 🔥🤝

🥉 IMMAF YOUTH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS BRONZE FOR JACK! 🏴

So incredibly proud of Jack. ❤️

After five tough fights at the IMMAF Youth World Championships in Abu Dhabi, competing against some of the very best young fighters in the world, Jack finishes his campaign with a World Championship bronze medal. 🥉🌍

He battled his way through the group stages, won his quarter-final and then narrowly lost out to Team Ireland in the semi-final.

In that final round against Team Ireland, Jack pushed hard and came incredibly close to getting the finish multiple times, but unfortunately the first and second rounds were just too close and the decision went the other way.

What makes this achievement even more special is that Jack hasn't even been training for two years yet.

To already be standing on a World Championship podium, representing England and Ignite MMA, shows just how far he's come and how much potential he has.

Hold your head high, Jack. You've represented yourself, your family, Ignite and England brilliantly.

World Championship bronze medallist after less than two years of training.

And I know Jack, he'll be straight back in the gym and straight back to work. We've got a title fight coming up, his amateur MMA debut and plenty of grappling tournaments ahead.

He'll take everything from this experience, keep improving and he'll be back at the World Championships next year. 🌍

This is only the beginning.
