What a wonderful way to end the term. We had a trip to London, giving our amazing students an opportunity to put into practice some of the things they have learned through their Passport to Independence programme. Planning a route, purchasing train tickets and negotiating the underground. We enjoyed watching Hamilton, which brought together teaching from a multitude of subjects. What was by far the most humbling and gratifying experience for me was watching our students close in and care for and protect each other. We are not just a school, we are a family and today was testament to the empathy, sensitivity and warmth our students demonstrate. Have a great Easter all. See you on the 17th ๐๐ค๐ก๐ก

When students miss large portions of schooling, they often miss crucial milestones, like swimming, which are essential to their safety, especially living in Norfolk. The Lighthouse are committed to ensuring that our students catch up on as much of their missed education as possible. We have been working with Sportspark UEA to provide a first class physical education package. On Tuesday, all students at The Lighthouse received their 50 metre swimming certificates, many in more than one swimming style. This is a huge milestone and we applaud their efforts. Thank you too, to Danny Belletty, for working so hard to put this package together and making it work for us.
The Lighthouse is closed for the half-term break from Monday 19th - Friday 23rd February. Have a good break ๐
