This week we've spotted some more baby animals. A butterfly spotting walk on the marshes turned into watching slightly bigger babies than caterpillars... Calves! The children asked if the calves had come from eggs which led to an interesting conversation about mammals, birds and insects.
We also saw some more baby mammals (monkeys and wallabies) on a lovely bus adventure to Banham zoo.

We've also been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. We've been watching our very own hungry caterpillars eat and p**p and grow. We've transferred four chrysalides into our butterfly habitat and hope to see some butterflies emerge soon..
We visited toddler group and did some caterpillar painting and we had a picnic in the park with our friends who got very creative with the dandelions!

We've been thinking all about 'Growing' this term. We started with a visit to see some chickens and learnt all about the life cycle of birds. The children loved telling me all about the egg hunts they had done with their families over Easter so we had one more egg hunt in the woods. No chocolate this time though, just some phonics in the eggs instead 😂 The children didn't mind at all and enjoyed hiding them just as much as hunting. We also enjoyed visiting the ducklings in Eaton park.

Mother's day fun. Little messy fingers making gifts for our mums and decorating our very own wrapping paper.

In March we went for an adventure on the train. The train was very clean and smart and the children remarked on how much nicer it was than the bus 😂
We went to Cromer to visit the zoo. A highlight was watching the free roaming patagonian mara feeding its week old baby.
