If you’ve always wanted to learn how to sew so you can make clothes that fit you in the styles you love, then Bobo Bun’s Sewing School Beginners Course is for you.

Bookings are now open for two Beginners Sewing Courses starting in June.

These are supportive, inclusive, fun and informative classes with me Lisa, a qualified teacher and dressmaker of over thirty years.

Over the eight weeks of the Beginners Sewing Course you will learn how to:

🧵get the most out of your sewing machine
🧵make two simple projects, one with a zip
🧵understand fabric types and how to accurately cut cloth
🧵sew different seam finishes
🧵read and understand a pattern
🧵use your measurements to sew a pattern
🧵sew a pair of pyjama bottoms. These are the perfect beginner project in which you learn a lot of sewing skills without feeling overwhelmed.
🧵add in seam pockets, sew buttonholes plus much much more.

If you're a Confident Beginner/ Improver who would like to learn how to adapt and alter sewing patterns to fit your body, then this is the course for you.

Once you've mastered the basics of Sewing, Fitting a Bodice Course will teach you how to alter and adjust a bodice pattern to fit you perfectly. No more sewing a garment only to find it doesn't fit. I absolutely love to teach this course and see how it benefits my students along with the joy of wearing a garment made to measure.

On this eight week course you will learn how to:
🧵Take accurate body measurements to compare with finished garment measurements.
🧵Understand standard pattern sizing, as well as wearing ease and design ease.
🧵Develop your knowledge of how to read a pattern.
🧵Understand standard pattern sizing, as well as wearing ease and design ease.
