The UEA Neuropsychology Laboratory joined 𝐒𝐢𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞
in support of 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 for 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡.

🎉 Major Milestone for the SIGHT Trial! 🎉

We’re delighted to share that the SIGHT trial (Spatial Inattention Grasping Therapy for neglect post‑stroke) has now received HRA and HCRW ethics approval — a critical milestone and the green light to begin participant recruitment!

Supported by a £1.26 million NIHR-MRC award, the SIGHT trial represents the largest study of spatial inattention therapy ever conducted. It aims to determine whether our innovative, portable therapy can help stroke survivors who experience spatial neglect — a condition that affects around one-third of stroke survivors .

🧠 The trial will involve 206 participants, randomly assigned either to receive SIGHT in addition to standard care or to continue with usual care alone — shining a light on which patients benefit most, and why.

This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing team, dedicated collaborators, and invaluable input from stroke survivors, families, and clinicians.
