"One of the primary ways that children learn is through observation, by way of the mirror-neuron system. The mirror-neuron system allows children to copy the regulatory strategies used by an adult." - Lisa Dion 💕

👋🏾Meet Rosanna.

Rosanna has been with So School's Out Easton for 2 years, having left Banham Zoo at the beginning of the pandemic.

🐶Rosanna loves animals, has a garage full of terrariums and a home full of dogs. All the children enjoy learning from Rosanna about how to care for different animals and to explore their habitats.

👩🏼‍🎓Rosanna recently qualified as a Level 3 Early Years Educator and is the Deputy Manager at School's Out Easton.

Thank you Rosanna for the special memories you are creating with the children

Look what our Michaela is doing now! Michaela managed the Easton setting for several years before moving out of area.

Her background in Italy was designing for famous couture houses. She shared her passion for design with the children with creative art projects for every age. Her warmth, generosity and easy smile made every child feel cherished at breakfast and after school sessions. Her young daughter was always excited to join in! What a testament to the care Michaela provided.

Take a look at her Facebook and Instagram shops for comfortable and stylish leggings.

Many of our children are highly sensitive and sensory seeking, these resources are some children’s favourite toys. Just as yours may have been a teddy bear, others relax by blowing bubbles or watching lava lamps. If you meet the conditions, this subsidised pack could help at home.

Welcome Back to school!

Welcome back to a new school year with 4 of our top tips!

1. An early start means less nagging!
2. Wear comfortable shoes for a pain free day.
3. Keep going with water, flapjacks, eggs, bananas - low sugar, high protein for endurance!
4. If you take it off or put it down make sure it has a name on it - that way it will find it's way home!

Oh, and a packet of tissues for mum's and dad's after school drop off is always handy!
Have a lovely first day back everyone, love from So School's out.

On the 12th day of Christmas Advent we had a Light Party!

The light party was a huge success and all the children left with big smiles on their faces. We played musical statues, musical chairs, limbo and the greatest dancer.

What a way to start the Christmas Holiday!

On the 11th day of Christmas Advent the children listen to Christmas songs and made characters using recycled materials.

The children were given total freedom and creativity when it came to their Christmas characters and the results were brilliant. They loved rummaging through the junk modelling box to choose their materials and having free rein of the craft table is always a highlight.

On the 10th day of Christmas Advent the children made their own reindeer pom poms and decorated ginger bread Christmas tress.

These activities were a big hit at breakfast and after school club this week, especially the ginger bread decorating. The children were given free choice of their sprinkles and icing so they could decorate their tree in whatever way they wanted and they definitely enjoyed eating them after tea!

On the 9th day of Christmas the children made candy canes and Christmas tree pegs.

Here are some of their creations.

This is your last chance to book your child/children's space for our Christmas Light Party on Thursday 16th Dec. The party will start at 3.15pm and run until 5.45pm. You can collect your child at any time during this period.

If your child already attends this after school session they will automatically have a space.

We will be playing lots of party games, enjoying all the disco lights and boogying the afternoon away to the children's favourite songs.

If you would like to book your child a space please contact myself via Famly or email [email protected]

We are all really looking forward to it!
