🎉 End of Year Celebration & Farewells! 🎉
⭐This morning, we celebrated all together for the final time this academic year ⭐ Our school community came together for a special assembly, which was a time to reflect on an incredible year of achievements, share memories and look ahead to the future. We celebrated our Year 6 leavers and shared the photos and videos with the staff and pupils, that had been used in their celebration with their parents and carers yesterday.
Congratulations to all the pupils in Mary Anning house, who swept the board with the cups awarded. They took the lead in both the LKS2 and UKS2 Sports Day, winning overall and taking the cup for Sports Day 2026. They also were the only house to exceed 200000 class chart points, taking the house cup for the year too.
We had a lot of cetificates awarded as well. These were for Top scorers of Class Charts in each class, 100% attendance and the TTRS Gone Green certificates too.
We also recognised our 8 house captains, who were awarded a keepsake medal to remember their time as KJS house captains. Finally, we presented 4 citizenship shields to year 6 pupils to recognise their superb effort and achievement and being excellent role models to all of the KJS pupils around them. Mr. Collison and Mr. Osborn described the 4 of them perfectly and really explained why they were so deserving of the awards.
Special Farewells:
🎓 Year 6 Pupils - we say a final, proud farewell to our wonderful Year 6 leavers as they prepare for their next big adventure on to various high schools, we will miss them all and hope they keep in touch and pop to see us occasionally 💙
⭐Also, to Mrs Jones. We say a huge thank you and goodbye to Mrs Jones, who is moving on to an exciting new role. Thank you for everything you have done for all the pupils you have supported on their journey at Kinsale Junior School.
