Lodge Lane Infant School

Another great week at Lodge Lane! Reception children have continued working on their rugby skills ready for their rugby festival. Year 1 have had the best time watching the ducklings hatch and seeing them take their first steps (and first swims) in the world. Year 2 showed off their rugby skills at North Walsham Rugby Club. Butterfly Class enjoyed a fine motor challenge - could they pop the bubble by spraying it with water?!

We are looking for donations of cakes and sweet treats for our Summer BBQ and would be very grateful for your support.

✅ Please label containers and include a list of ingredients

Remember it’s non- uniform day today! Please bring in something suitable for the tomboys stall at the Summer BBQ in exchange. Toys, chocolates, wine, hand cream, colouring pencils - the list is almost endless!

This week, Reception have started their brand new Inquiry with an exciting adventure listening for mini beasts in a tent! I wonder what will happen next! Turtle Class have enjoyed reading their extensive collection of Mr Men books together. Year 2 have enjoyed their first dance lessons with Miss Mooney, our PE specialist. They created high and low shapes and used a joining movement to connect them.

It's time for Summer 2! We can't wait to see the children's smiling faces at school tomorrow. We hope you've had a wonderful half term in the gorgeous weather we've been having.

A massive thank you to Avian Dance School for three wonderful dance trips. The children absolutely loved their day with you! Thank you to Mrs Surtee and Mrs Farmer, our PE leads for arranging such an inspiring experience for our children.

🩵 Lodge Lane 2026 🩵

We welcomed the whole of Lodge Lane Infant School over 3 Wednesdays to take part in dance, acro and imaginative/sensory exploration.

They were an absolute joy to teach and came to our studios with so much energy, enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.

We crowned a Best Attitude 2026 and Star Performer 2026 for every year group, as well as 48 special award certificates and 4 stickers per child!

Wow!

We are in some exciting talks and plans for September to be able to offer so much more to schools…
