Kingfisher class were busy at Gunton train station this morning weeding. The planters are looking much tidier and are ready for planting.

Year 6 represented our school wonderfully today at Gresham’s STEAM competition. They worked as a team to build a boat, a plane and a sail car. Their hard work and fantastic collaboration meant they came joint second place out of 14 teams - well done Freddie, Jamil and Billy.

What a fantastic way to start our 200 year anniversary celebrations. Today, the school was transformed to the Victorian Era where the children and staff dressed and experienced a Victorian school day.

The children’s classrooms were arranged in rows, the boys were separate to the girls, English lessons were writing lines, P.E. included hopscotch and walking drills as well a lesson on sewing. What a great day we had!

Today we were joined by Shizuka Suzuki, Vice Principle at Sakado Azuma Kindergarten in Japan. She joined Kingfisher Class and led an origami session which the children thoroughly enjoyed. Shizuka then went to see Owl Class where the children learnt how to say hello and goodbye in Japanese. Thank you so much Shizuka for joining us.

As part of our project ‘Road Trip USA’, Kingfisher Class made New York cookies. I hope they are enjoying eating them as much as they enjoyed baking them?!

We took the whole school to Thorpe Market Church today to learn about Holy Week. The children acted out different parts and represented our school wonderfully well. Thank you Thorpe Market Church for having us.
