The sun shined brightly as we had the chance to delve into all the fantastic activities provided by Louis.
Families participated in:

Football ⚽️, Golf ⛳️, Archery 🏹, and fun races like sack and egg and spoon. The little ones also enjoyed making sailboats and designing their own flags.

We shared some yummy snacks at our lovely picnic benches under the gazebo.

World Bee Day 🐝🍯

Today we have had lots of fun buzzing🐝 around celebrating World Bee Day!

The children have been getting creative with bee themed play dough, making and decorating delicious honey cupcakes and painting beautiful bee pictures.

It has been a wonderful day filled with creativity, sensory play and learning about the important role that bees play in our worldπŸπŸ’›πŸ§‘

Well done to all our little busy bees for their amazing creations🌻🐝

Here are some fun facts about bees🐝

🍯Bees make honey from flower nectar.
🌻Bees help flowers, fruits & vegetables grow through pollination.
🐝 A bee can visit thousands of flowers in just one day,
πŸ‘‘The Queen bee is the only bee that lays eggs.
🐝 Bees communicate by doing a special β€˜ waggle dance’
🌎 Many of the foods we eat depend on bees and other pollinators.

Landmarks πŸ—ΏπŸ—½πŸ°πŸ•ŒπŸ›οΈ

We are excited to share our latest theme, which focuses on exploring the continents and showcasing some well-known landmarks from around the world.🌎

To make this experience engaging, we have set up a construction area where the children can build their own planes to "fly" to different destinations. Our adventure begins in London, where we will delve into iconic historical sites, including Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, London Bridge, and Big Ben. The children have been eager to learn and have loved sharing their family stories about visiting these landmarks.

In our Pyramid exploration tray, the children can uncover interesting facts about Egypt while using their maths and problem-solving skills to create their own pyramids. Plus, our Playdoh Jungle activity lets them channel their creativity by crafting habitats for various animals found in natural rainforests. Through these hands-on experiences, we aim to connect different continents, enhancing our understanding and appreciating the unique features of each region.

Do take a look at what the children will be exploring over the next two weeks!

Obstacle Course πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒ

The children had a wonderful time today on the school field participating in an obstacle course.

They collaborated in its creation and attentively listened and watched the teachers as they demonstrated how to complete the course. To begin, the children weaved between the cones, followed by dribbling a football to a cone and concluded with throwing a ball in a hoop. They cheered each other on and felt a great sense of pride in their accomplishments.

Obstacle’s courses can be incredibly beneficial for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage. They promote physical development while also fostering confidence, communication and problem solving skills through active play.

Earth Day 2026 πŸ—ΊοΈ 🌍

Today in the nursery we have been celebrating Earth Day. The children have engaged in some activities to help them to learn about and protect the planet that we live on.

The children have explored the day ensuring our outdoor woodland area is free from rubbish to protect the animals and plants that live there, and inside our children have been creating using their skills to make Earth biscuits and paintings 🌎.

The children showed enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the day making suggestions and asking questions about ways in which we can protect our planet suggesting walking to Treetops and riding their bikes instead of driving to Nursery.

It enhances this terms topic where we are taking a closer look at different continents around the world 🌎

Happy Earth day 🌳
