Saxlingham Nethergate CEVC Primary School

At Saxlingham Seedlings Garden Club this afternoon we worked hard in the warm weather to move some woodchip we had delivered we made some paths and started to spread it around where it was needed. We did some weeding too.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our Sports Day today. It was lovely to share the morning with parents, carers, families and friends; the staff and children very much appreciated your support and encouragement. A huge thank you to Mrs Newson and Miss Walker for organising the event.

We would also like to thank FOSS for their fundraising efforts. We made £353.19 from the BBQ and Refreshments which is absolutely brilliant. If you are interested in helping FOSS, we would be very grateful of any offers of help, and will be sending out some information about the next meeting in early September.

Another day, another cricket final! Well done to our mixed team for reaching the Norfolk County Finals and for performing admirably well! What a fantastic achievement it is for our little school to field 2 teams at the County Championships within a week! Congratulations to all involved and a huge thank you to Mrs Newson and Miss Goodchild for taking the children today.

Congratulations to the Tas Valley Federation girls who have finished 4th overall at the Norfolk County cricket championships at Manor Park Horsford. What a brilliant achievement this is!

Today was the rescheduled South Norfolk Mixed Cricket. Well done to Saxlingham for finishing 2nd overall and qualifying for the County Final. Thank you to Mrs Newson and Miss Walker for taking the team.

Congratulations to the Tas Valley Federation Y5/6 girls who have qualified for the County Cricket Finals next Tuesday at Manor Park, Horsford! Congratulations on your super team work and determined sportsmanship!

Patrick was nominated to be our 'Bishop of Norwich School Ambassador' in recognition of the kind and respectful way he treats all members of our school community.

As a reward, he attended a special ceremony where he received a certificate from Bishop Graham; following this, he, and all the other school ambassadors, had a delicious lunch within the Bishop's garden.

We are very proud of him.
