🌞 A little Summer throwback…🎭

We had SO much fun at our Summer School this August! Here’s a glimpse of the singing session and ‘Mad’ from ‘Descendants: Wicked Wonderland’ where lots of energy and focus was applied by our FAB students!

And the good news is… we don’t have long to wait until we’re back!

🚨🌟 THEATRETRAIN IS COMING TO WYMONDHAM! 🌟🚨

We’re SO excited to be launching a brand-new Theatretrain Express class in Wymondham this September!

☀️🍦THEATRETRAIN NORWICH SUMMER SCHOOL - DAY 3🍦☀️

☀️ We kicked off the morning with some fun bonding games, including ‘The Sun Shines On...’ where everyone sat in a circle while one person stood in the middle and called out something that applied to others. Everyone who matched had to race to find a new seat while the person in the middle tried to grab an empty chair. It was a great icebreaker and had everyone laughing!

☀️ In singing, we were delighted to welcome guest teacher Logan Patterson, who led a fun-filled session with lots of vocal warm-ups. A favourite was singing ‘I Like the Flowers’ in a round before the children learned Bruno Mars' ‘Count on Me’ complete with actions.

☀️ Drama continued with Logan, where the children worked in small groups to create imaginative montages, bringing scenes such as rockets launching, a stampede, and even dinosaurs to life through movement and teamwork!

☀️ For dance, our wonderful MAIN SCHOOL teacher, Julia Dixon, taught the children a routine to ‘Be Our Guest’ from Beauty and the Beast. Julia had only returned from Disney World Florida the day before, so she brought plenty of Disney magic and inspiration into the studio!

☀️ To finish the day, and after plenty of requests from the children, we had one final game of Traitors!

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who joined us over the three days! We've loved seeing the children's confidence, creativity and friendships grow, and we hope they had as much fun as we did. Have a wonderful summer, and we'll see you all again soon!

☀️🍦THEATRETRAIN NORWICH SUMMER SCHOOL - DAY 2🍦☀️

☀️ What a difference a day makes! The children arrived for their second day looking so much more confident and it was lovely to see everyone settling in and getting stuck into the fun!

☀️ Our icebreaker was 1, 2, 3! Working in groups of three with the people next to them, they had just three seconds to create different images, including trees, elephants, James Bond and his spies, and much more! The pressure to think quickly led to plenty of laughter, with some hilarious creations along the way – including trees with elephant ears!

🚀 Dance was once again led by the ever-popular Ben Nash, who was back by popular demand! Today’s session was space themed and everyone had to create their own journey through space using imaginative movement!

🎵 Singing with Mariah was another highlight and the students learned how to build their vocals from verse to chorus with ‘Go Live It’ from Descendants: Wicked Wonderland!

🎭 In drama, everyone chose a scenario from a selection of prompts before working together to devise and perform their own pieces. It was fantastic to see so much creativity and teamwork!

☀️ We finished the day with games and today's standout favourite was Traitors, which proved to be a massive hit!

☀️ Just one more day to go, and we can't wait to see what it will bring!

☀️🍦THEATRETRAIN NORWICH SUMMER SCHOOL - DAY 1🍦☀️

☀️ We kicked off our first day of Summer School with some ice-breaker activities to shake off any initial nerves and to get everyone introduced to one another!

☀️ We then welcomed breakdancing expert, Ben Nash for the dance session and he demonstrated many different breakdancing moves and how to link them together. The older students were then tasked with choreographing a short sequence with partners to Meghan Trainor’s ‘Better When I’m Dancing’! The younger students worked on a fun animal dance with our MINIS teacher, Matilda.

☀️ For the singing session, the students warmed up by singing the alphabet up and down the musical scale before getting to grips with ‘Mad’ from Descendants: Wicked Wonderland! Voice projection and expression was key for specific parts of this upbeat song!

☀️ Acting saw the students split into small groups and they had to devise a plot which finished the sentence: ‘The adventures of…’
They then started to ‘block’ their ideas (plan and arrange where to stand, move, and turn on the stage) ready for performing to the rest of the class!

🍦 It was a day full of high energy and enthusiasm, and we are already excited for the next one!

The countdown is officially on! 🎉 In just one week, our Theatretrain Norwich Summer School begins, and we can't wait to welcome everyone for three fantastic days of performing arts fun!

Whether your child loves to sing 🎤, dance 💃, act 🎬, or simply wants to build confidence, make new friends and have an unforgettable summer adventure, this is the perfect place to be.

Each day is packed with exciting games, creative activities, performance skills and plenty of fun in a welcoming, supportive environment. No previous experience is needed – just lots of enthusiasm! 🌟

🌟 MAIN SCHOOL MILESTONES 🌟

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Crystal, Holly, Maisy and Ellie-Mae who all achieved their 3-year milestone awards as they have been part of the TT family since almost the very beginning!

All four students are a delight to teach and having been here the longest, they are so welcoming to new starters and are great at leading and demonstrating when needed.

We are so chuffed when our students stay with us long term and we are looking forward to handing out more one, two and three-year medals in the future!

🌟 STUDENTS OF THE TERM! 🌟

We have had a fantastic Summer term with all our students and wanted to give a special shout out to THREE of our dedicated MAIN SCHOOL performers!

💫 Hugo – Group 1

After moving up from our MINIS, Hugo has completed his first year as part of our MAIN SCHOOL and has settled in brilliantly! He works hard, always brings a fantastic attitude to class, and has grown so much in confidence this year.

A very well-deserved award – well done, Hugo!

💫 Isla – Group 2

Although one of the newer members of the Theatretrain family, Isla has really stood out this term. Her stage presence has been noticed by all of our staff, and we're excited to see her confidence and talent continue to grow!

Keep on shining, Isla!

💫 Harrison – Group 3

Harrison's confidence has grown so much this year, but what really makes him stand out is his fantastic attitude to learning. He always gives his best, embraces every challenge, and is a pleasure to teach!

⭐️ THEATRETRAIN EXPRESS ⭐️

Our Cringleford Crew were recently treated to a special dance workshop from Julia, our MAIN SCHOOL Choreographer!

The students were taught an exciting routine to ‘Believer’ by Imagine Dragons which went down a storm, especially when they got to sing the chorus alongside the dynamic choreography!
