Kelsey Lauren - Childminder & Nanny

Unfortunately a few weeks ago I came to the decision to resign as a childminder & nanny. I am now no longer registered with Ofsted.
As many of you know, I had to stop working last year when I fell pregnant and became very unwell with Hyperemersis Gravidarum, sadly I am unable to return to the role of a childminder. There are a variety of reasons, but it all lead to this decision.
I’m so grateful for every parent who trusted me with their children, they are memories I will treasure forever. I absolutely adored this job, and will truly miss it.

Good Afternoon all.
This is a post I’ve been meaning to make for a couple of months now but just haven’t found the right words.
As of right now, my business and work as a childminder has come to an end.
I will no longer be working as a childminder, or nanny for the foreseeable future.
I am currently pregnant and experiencing something called “Hyperemersis Gravidarum” and it has completely put my life on hold.
I am very unwell, and had to make the difficult decision a few weeks ago to end all my childcare contracts and cease working.

This was not an easy decision to make, as I absolutely adored my job and all the families I worked with. But ultimately I was not able to provide efficient and safe care for children whilst being so unwell.
Things have been improving slightly over the last couple of weeks, but I’m still quite unwell and each day is different.

I want to thank each and every parent or carer who I worked with. I am absolutely gutted to have had to do this, but I’m hopeful I will be able to return at some point.

We had so much fun cleaning today, the bubbles were definitely a hit!
We had a box of blocks in warm soapy water to clean them 🫧

Lots of fun in the sun today, the children are really loving making all sorts of creations in the mud kitchen.
We’ve also got lots of diggers and digging toys in the sand pit! ☀️

As childminders, we go above and beyond for our children and their families.
