A bit of a sort out today. It’s always hard saying goodbye to books but making room for new ones is always a joy.

Some wonderful photos from one of the Harry Potter story adventure daily tasks. This was to invent a board game to get the gold from the vault in Gringotts Bank. Thanks to their mum for sharing.

This week we have been trialling a new home schooling pack called The Story Adventures. Each pack contains a daily literacy challenge involving multi sensory practical activities to get children spelling, writing, reading, thinking and investigating through meaningful and exciting engagement with a story.
Each story adventure has between 7 and 10 challenges, and is designed to last for a whole week or longer. The challenges are designed to involve lots of independent work inside and outside to free up parents a little. Each day of the adventure starts with a 15 minute online face to face session with me, where the story unfolds. The child then gets an email from a mystery character who sets the challenge.

Feedback is already very positive. The story adventures so far include Harry Potter, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Where the wild Things Are, Bob Man on the Moon, The Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, Castles, The Tiger who came to Tea, We're going on a Bear Hunt, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the story of Leonardo Da Vinci. I can also take requests for favourite stories. If this sounds of interest to you please message for more details. These adventures are suitable and adaptable for children aged 4-9 and cost £20 per adventure.
