Today we spoke about how we use our eyes for looking and ears for listening. Miss Bethan set up the tuff tray and carefully poured water into it. She showed the children 2 bath bombs, which she placed in the water and watched what happened. The children talked about the colours, the sounds, the sizes, what changed, what it smelt like, what they like about it, and so much more.

This activity was designed for the children to look and listen, and not to touch until the end. Having this concentration and understanding helps them to follow instructions and enjoy the end result. The children all did an amazing job, we were amazed at how they participated and enjoyed exploring this activity for nearly 10 minutes of undivided concentration and interest!!!

It’s been such a lovely start to the new term! 🌟 Our new starters have settled in so well and are already feeling happy, confident and comfortable in their new surroundings. It’s been wonderful to see them exploring, playing and getting to know their new friends and routines.

The children are also really enjoying our new room layout, making the most of the different areas and resources available to them. 💛✨

We also have our new sensory area ✨️ we can't wait to welcome the children on Thursday to explore the new room layout!

From September, all staff will be using these “Now and Next” core boards with the children as part of our visual support.

The boards will help children understand what is happening now and what is coming next, supporting communication, understanding, routines and transitions throughout the day.

We look forward to using these consistently across the setting to help children feel more confident and secure in their daily routines. 💚

Another wonderful year at preschool has come to an end! 💖

The children who are moving on to school are going to have the best time—we're so proud of each and every one of them.

Thank you all so much for the lovely cards, beautiful flowers, thoughtful gifts, and this amazing cake. Your kindness and support mean so much.

Have a fantastic summer, and we can't wait to see you all in September—welcoming back our familiar faces and saying hello to some lovely new ones starting their preschool journey! 💜

Today the children had the chance to create colourful monsters by dropping paint onto black card and blowing it with straws to make interesting shapes. They then added googly eyes to bring their monsters to life, encouraging creativity, imagination, and fine motor development.

First week back and i think the children have loved the garden.
They definitely seem to be outside more, and making use of the new green space, and the new blocks!
