🏃‍♀️ Kids… let me tell you a story about resilience!

Two years ago, I crossed the finish line of the Great North Run. I cried. Not the inspirational, slow-motion movie kind of cry. The “I have made some terrible life choices” kind. 😂

I hadn’t left myself enough time to train, every mile hurt, and I swore I would never, ever run another half marathon.

Fast forward two years and, after what can only be described as peer pressure I signed up again.

As we always tell our children, sometimes the things that challenge us the most are the things that teach us the most. You don’t have to be brilliant at something straight away — you just have to be willing to have a go, keep going when it gets difficult, and believe that you can improve.

So, this is me putting that into practice! 💪

This year, I’m running to raise money for Action for Children, a fantastic charity supporting children, young people and families when they need it most. ❤️

Willow’s had quite the holiday. Lots of walks and a fair bit of mischief. She’s had a back to school trim and looks forward to seeing all the children soon
