CHILDREN'S SLEEP AWARENESS MONTH IS HERE!

We are delighted to launch this campaign putting the spotlight on children's sleep because... what an importance subject it is! Did you know that up to 50% of children struggle with sleep at some point, which rises to 80% where there is a diagnosis of SEND?

Poor sleep can lead to cranky mornings, trouble focusing in school, and even long-term health challenges - not to mention tired, stressed-out parents. That’s why we’re dedicating an entire month to raising awareness about the importance of sleep for children.

Whether you’re navigating toddler wake ups, battling bedtimes, or convincing your teen to switch off at night, we’re here to help!

What’s coming in February:

✨ Practical tips for better sleep routines.

✨ Free weekly webinars with our experts to tackle sleep challenges.

✨ Resources, info and challenges.

We want to work together with you to make bedtime battles a thing of the past. Follow us for updates, tips, and resources, and get ready to sleep better this February! Download the supporter's pack here: https://thesleepcharity.org.uk/get-involved/awareness-events/

Today marked the end of a very busy half term in Year 4! We’ve completed our units in all subjects and have started our sewing to make our Tudor purses. We celebrated reading and Mathletics and this week’s stars were chosen for kindness. Enjoy the break Year 4!

We are ending our half term with a Reception Valentines. Lots of love and kindness has been shared in our classroom over the last few days. We’ve had lots of fun making cards, flowers, dough chocolates, zig zag hearts and have even used flowers to make our own love recipes in the mud kitchen.
Our Stars of the Day have been awarded for kindness this week. Children have been kind and gentle with others, always considerate, caring, looking after upset children and for being kind sharing flowers they made with others in the class. What a lovely kind and considerate class we have.
We also are celebrating our Super Readers, who have read three or more times this week.
Well done to all our Stars and we wish you all a wonderful half term.

Year 2 have had a busy week to end a lovely half term 🙂

We have written our own instructions for building a Bog Baby habitat, learnt how to compare amounts of money and find change, created artwork inspired by Monet and in Science we have learnt about the importance of good hygiene to stop germs from spreading.

⭐️Well done to our wonderful stars of the day who were all chosen for the kindness that they show to others. ⭐️

Congratulations to our award winners in Numbots and Mathletics and to our fabulous super readers too! ⭐️🙂👍

We hope everyone has a wonderful half term break ❤️

Year 5’s super readers, stars and star readers for this week. The children have worked incredibly hard this half term and we are very proud of them. This week we have focussed on kindness and caring which our stars of the day demonstrate everyday towards their peers and staff. After half term we will be focussing on challenging ourselves.

Have a great half term and well deserved rest 🤩🌟☺️

Please remember that we are celebrating World Book Day early this year as we have a busy week in school that week.

We are celebrating on TUESDAY 4TH MARCH.

Our theme this year is fairy tales!

The children can come to school dressed as a fairy tale character, in their pyjamas or their own clothes (no football kits please) and we will enjoy a day full of different reading and craft activities. There is even a special themed meal planned!

Year 1 have used ’fuzzy felts’ to created a new outfit for the wolf. He wanted to change his story so the children have made him a whole array of costumes including clothes for: a princess, a king, a witch, a knight, an elf, and even one of the three little pigs! Well done!
