🎃 pumpkin picking 🍂
What a lovely afternoon with cousins to pick pumpkins altogether. Our haul this year were a respectable weight, can’t say the same for my nephew. Picking the biggest pumpkin in the patch over 20 kg……😮💰
Until next year 🎃
Leakage problem?
Not a conversation starter but leakage happens to 1 out of 3 people (more common than you thought…right)
Pregnancy, postnatal, older age, heavier weight all can contribute to this problem. But it’s not unheard of to have leakage and have not given birth or Being high performance athlete.
Bladder leakage can be split into the two main categories
Stress and urge
Your symptoms can usually pin out on what incontinence you may have. Once we know what are your symptoms. When we can go through how to help. Whether it be strengthening, voiding techniques. Even relaxation techniques. As these pelvic floor muscles need to be mobile and strong too.
Are you looking for help in this - contact the clinic directly for more information. Or booking a assessment online to help improve your symptoms.
Improve lymphatic health
The lymphatic system is finely tuned to removing unwanted cellular waste, excess fluids and “toxins” from the body.
But our sedentary lives can make us feel sluggish and slow our system down. Making us possible more susceptible to colds/flu in winter 🍁🍂
3 very simple things we can all do to help - move more. As this will provide the pump for the system to get the fluid moving. Walk, run, yoga, swim anything really. Even rebounding on a trampoline ( ladies with the fear of leaking, check out my other posts on pelvic floor) Vibration plates all could help the system.
Dry brushing on the skin just so the skin is turning a pale pinky colour not bright red and you’ve broke the skin.
Drink more water - the more hydrated you are the easier it is to move the fluid. When your dehydrated the fluid in the body is like syrup.
And if you are doing some self massage (great stuff). But where you start and pressure matters.
In my clinic appointments I often show/tell clients on how they can do it their selfs properly. As we want to aim the fluid to the heart and don’t start the furthest away at the feet. Start at the collar bones. If your wanting to learn more or booking sessions.

Essential oils for autumn 🍂
These would be probably my go to oils for colds and flu. As many of them have,
Reduce cough (antitussive)
Reduce fever (febrifuge)
Reduce inflammation (anti-inflammatory)
Loosen mucus (expectorant)
Pain relief/ sore throat relief (analgesic)
Clear sinus, nasal passages, and respiratory tracts (decongestant)
When making a blend for someone, it will be tailored to you also. What are your preferred smells. Are you more drawn to lavender than rosemary.
Also being mindful that these essential oils are potent so, a stimulant oils isn’t the best idea with someone with high blood pressure.
🍁Aromatherapy for the autumn/winter months ❄️
Autumn now finally feels it here, the temperature dropping. And colds and flu starting to hit back again. Using essential oils in aromatherapy we can potentially keep the flu at bay.
Essential oils have natural properties- antiseptic, anti inflammatory, calming, stimulating etc. and when used together in a blend, this could be the winning formula for our immunity this season. 🍁
And best of all has 10% of aromatherapy 60minute session when booking online using the code - Autumn24
Lymphatic massage and fertility
For many couples fertility is a difficult journey, and some may want to look for more holistic ways to help their body.
Lymphatic massage can help to remove excess hormones, improve circulation and calm the whole body’s system down. As previously we have spoken about how stress affects our hormones.
How a lymphatic massage plays out - is all down to the individual and their own health/body. If the routes are IVF and IVM trying to start Lymphatic treatments before you begin those courses.
We may look visceral (digestion) massage, Manual Lymphatic massage and soft tissue. But it could be a combination.
More information on this type of treatment then message the clinic directly
My top tips and information to know when your booking a pregnancy massage.
Your therapist should be asking how far along you are….. under 12/13 weeks we don’t advise massage. Due to possible stimulating blood flow away from the yolk sack while its still forming.
If you’ve been told you have, massage is contraindicated.
• Pre-eclampsia
• Deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
• Placenta problems (including previa, accreta or abruption)
Your sessions aren’t too different from a “normal” massage. The difference is positioning the body, using more cushions and towels. Being vocal about if you have PGP or SPD and this may change on how we move the body or where we concentrate the session.
But these treatment can have a huge impact on how you feeling during your pregnancy. Ease aches, pains in the lower back and hips. Improve mood and sleep.
Stress and fertility
Have you ever heard someone saying “ once they stoped trying and stop thinking about it. Next month boom pregnant”
Well stress plays a role in to why some couples find fertility more difficult.
Stress causes the body to release cortisol which we need for flight and fight. But if we are constantly overstimulating our adrenal glands. The body will perceive we need more energy into surviving this stressful event. And will divert energy away from the reproductive system thus late ovulations or no ovulation and possibly infertility.
This very delicate balance in hormones and cortisol can be addressed. Treatments such as reflexology has benefits to reducing stress, promoting deep sleep and the sense of wellbeing.
Lymphatic massage - Toxins can be a significant causal factor in infertility issues, as well as polycystic ovaries syndrome (PCOS), painful and irregular periods, and bloating, so a better functioning lymphatic system will naturally aid in toxin elimination and the reduction of unwelcome symptoms.
The lymphatic system plays a key role in the circulation of hormones through the body, and so in boosting its function, MLD can stimulate the more effective and predictable delivery of reproductive and fertility hormones through the body. In particular MLD has been proven to benefit oestrogen levels, crucial for the stimulation of LH (Luteinising Hormone) production, and in turn for ovulation.
Indian head massage, another fabulous option to relax.
But also some internal work: learning your personal threshold. Those early subtle signs the body is running low.
Scratchy throat, increasing headaches, eyestrain, dry, itchy, eyes spots, turn into full breakouts, diarrhoea, jaw pain , shoulder/neck pain.
Speak to the clinic on how we can possibly help to reduce your stress levels and hopefully improve your chances in conceiving
especially with
Being a hot yoga teacher there is nothing worst than getting that light headed, nauseous feeling when you’re dehydrated. Or being a mum and realising you’ve not had a drink of water over nine hours. Where does the time go.
Hydro plus tablets from four five, sort me out in minutes. Topping up my vital vitamins with their natural berry favour.
Grab yourself a tube studio and feel the difference after a class
Indian head massage 💆♀️
This sessions are probably my favourite to do as a therapist, they are relaxing for me. So imagine how they may feel for you.
Working the tension out for your shoulders and neck. As let’s be honest too many of us work at computers and on our phones.
Stress a major factor to our busy on the go 24/7 lives.
But they are also good to promote hair growth, improve headaches and migraines. And hydrates when we been in the sun ☀️
This is the last week of the summer deal where you get 20% off when booking online - (link to website in bio)
