These past few weeks, our learning has focused on exploration through sensory play, providing children with rich, hands-on experiences that support their development.
Through investigating a variety of textures, materials, colours, and natural resources, children are encouraged to play and explore. They ask questions, investigate how things work, and develop confidence in trying new experiences.

Sensory play also promotes active learning, as children remain engaged, concentrate, and persevere while exploring different materials and solving problems. As they experiment, compare, and make connections, they are creating and thinking critically.

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside 🐠🦀🌞🏖️⛱️

Our topic for June is 'The Seaside' and our topic intent and focus areas are-

** Explore the seaside theme through sensory-rich, imagination and confidence-building experiences.

**Foster curiosity, calm and connection through coastal discoveries and sensory seaside experiences.

**Support expressive language, scientific thinking and creative storytelling through beach-themed investigations.

Searching for hidden fishes in the water, counting the shells on the beach, scooping our texture tray ice cream, exploring a beachy scene and much more.

🎨🪲 Mini Beast Painting Fun! 🐛🕷️

Our little artists have been buzzing with creativity this week as they explored the world of mini beasts! From bright butterflies to wriggly worms and shiny beetles, children have been using paint, brushes, and even their fingers to bring these tiny creatures to life.

It’s amazing to see how each child’s imagination turns a simple bug into a beautiful piece of art. 💛
