As a keen long distance cyclist, I will be taking part in 2 events to raise money for the Cycle with Dignity Project.

There are approximately 150 children who need sanitary pads in Njoro DEB Primary School right now. The Cycling with Dignity project costs £450 per year to support the children in years 7&8 at Njoro DEB by providing reuseable sanitary towels and essential education about puberty.

If I manage to raise more than this, the money will be held by The Cycle with Dignity project ringfenced to support the children at Njoro DEB Primary School, as part of the link work done between Njoro and Wincham CP School.

The first event is the Ron Sant Memorial Ride, a 65 mile Audax (timed cycling event). This starts at Winnington Park RFC at 9.30 this Sunday.

The second event will be the RideLondon 100 mile sportive on May the 28th. I will start from central London and head north east through Essex with approximately 25,000 other riders covering just over 100 miles in approximately 8 hours.

I would be very grateful for any sponsorship that could help the children at Njoro DEB Primary School. My GoFundMe page is here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/cycle-with-dignity-project-for-girls-in-kenya

Today is the 3rd session of Forest School for children in Spiders and Dragonflies classes, kindly paid for by Wincham Family and Friends. Each class in school will have 6 weeks of Forest School throughout this academic year.

As we are just developing our Forest School provision, we need to work on the environment and the space the children are using, and we are getting close to the season where the children can become involved in planting a hedge around the outside of Jubilee Wood

If anyone has any contacts with a nursery who can provide hedging plants as corporate sponsorship, , please get in touch. Alternatively, if your company can offer a cash donation

In return for sponsorship in this way, we can offer…
£150 Company logo on the school website for 12 months
£250 Company logo on the school website, Facebook and Twitter pages for 12 months
£450 As above, as well as a professionally produced digital certificate for the company's use and a 30cm x 30cm company logo displayed at the school entrance for the academic year 22-23
£650 As above, with the company logo on the school's official stationery, so the company is being advertised with every communication the school sends out. This includes all communication with parents including weekly newsletters and all other ad hoc communication, with a possible reach of 100s of people per week.
£750 As above, with a visit to the school to see the outdoor learning in action and the chance for a promotional photo for the company's corporate use in advertising
(All advertising will carry a disclaimer to say the school does not endorse the products)

Self-isolation for those with COVID-19 can end after 5 full days following 2 negative LFD tests 14/01/2022

Changes to the self-isolation period for those who test positive for COVID-19 received in school 14/1/22
From Monday 17 January, people who are self-isolating with COVID-19 will have the option to reduce their isolation period after 5 full days if they test negative with a lateral flow device (LFD) test on both day 5 and day 6 and they do not have a temperature. For example, if they test negative on the morning of day 5 and the morning of day 6, they can return to their education or childcare setting immediately on day 6.

The first test must be taken no earlier than day 5 of the self-isolation period, and the second must be taken the following day. All test results should be reported to NHS Test and Trace.

If the result of either of their tests is positive, they should continue to self-isolate until they get negative results from two LFD tests on consecutive days or until they have completed 10 full days of self-isolation, whichever is earliest.

Anyone who is unable to take LFD tests or anyone who continues to have a temperature will need to complete the full 10 day period of self-isolation.

Further information on self-isolation for those with COVID-19 is available.

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/self-isolation-for-those-with-covid-19-can-end-after-five-full-days-following-two-negative-lfd-tests

Self-isolation for those with COVID-19 can end after 5 full days following 2 negative LFD tests From Monday 17 January, people with COVID-19 in England can end their self-isolation after 5 full days, as long as they test negative on day 5 and day 6.

13/01/2022

When working out how long to isolate for following a positive LFD test, the day of the test is day 0, not day 1 of the isolation.
