Continued from last post -

Over in Leicester on Saturday we had Iffan and Fergus.
Our first time on the Muay Thai Addict promotion.
Both lads had a change in opponent to their original matches and both fighting home town lads.

Iffan was half way though the card for his debut K1 fight.
A strong first fight from Iffan vs a good and more rangy opponent saw Iffan have to use his movement well which he did very well while getting the right shots off and listening great for a first fight.
A deserved win on points for Iffan and a debut well taken, Well done Iffan.

Next was Fergus, a long day already and 11.30pm by the time we got in there and a strong local opponent in Brandon Wallis for the C class Muay Thai fight.
Not Fergus strongest performance and a plan well followed by the local lad saw Brandon get a deserved win on points.

It was 2 wins and 2 losses last weekend for our fighters.

Last Saturday we had 4 fighters competing across 2 shows in Leicester and Llandudno.

MMA-

First up in Llandudno was Ryan Penn.
Competing in his debut MMA fight vs a much more experienced opponent with K1 titles to his name.
Great exchanges on the stand up to start before Ryan got the take down and stopped his opponent with ground and pound before the 1st round was out.
Well done Ryan. A strong first performance 💪

Next was Mike Blunt in Llandudno.
Again a debut MMA fight and against an even more experienced local opponent holding K1 and Boxing show titles.
Stronger rounds 1 and 2 from Mike, in which possibly a bit to much energy was used with some awesome explosive exchanges both on the ground and in the striking , saw Mike just gas a bit in what would have been one of the last exchanges of the fight and his opponent managing to take advantage and getting the stoppage on the floor.
Another awesome debut in which the experience of the opponent to the debut experience of Mikes possibly made just that bit of difference with the learnings of nerves and controlling energy etc but great first fight Mike well done.

Well done to coach Darren on 2 great performances and thank you to Jake and JJ for your help in prep and cornering.

Next weekend Supergyms Fergus Ashley takes on home town fighter Brandon Wallis in Leicester in what will be an great C class Muay Thai fight with both lads evenly matched.

Unfortunately Tom and Logan’s fights in Bristol next week are both off! The whole show has been cancelled so we will looking to re match them asap.

Tom got the win today! 💥🥊

Tom got the Win today via 4th round ref stoppage on the K-Star fight night Muay Thai show in Birmingham.

A ferocious start by both Tom and his opponent Alfie Carter bought out the best in both of them from the off. Tom replying well from Alfie’s strong start and good boxing saw Tom pull away from round 3 and continue the pressure till the refs stoppage in round 4.
A really good debut performance from both lads.
Well done on the win Tom.

Tom is fighting again in March, so it’s back in the gym soon for Tom to build on his 1st fight performance.

Iffan got the win last night in his debut fight.

Only the 1 round fought last night after a doctors stoppage between rounds 1 and 2 because of damage caused to Jamal’s eye from one of the first exchanges boxing exchange of the bout.

A strong 1st round from both lads was leading up to a great well matched fight with an unfortunate end for both lads not to show more of what they had.

Iffan did great, especially for a debut fight, in a pretty hostile environment he kept calm and listened well.
Losing out on 3 fight experience in a first fight, at late notice and at a higher weight than he can make, So lots to take from it even after a short fight!

Well done Iffan, 1st fight done and won 💪✌️

This Sunday SGs Tom Wilbraham makes his debut in Birmingham vs home town lad Alfie on the K-Star Muay Thai show.

Archie got the WIN last night 💥🥊💪🥇

Well done Archie getting the win last night in Jersey.
A tough opponent who pushed him all the way made for a great fight especially away from home in only his second Muay Thai fight getting Archie the unanimous decision win.

Logan was due to fight on the same show but unfortunately we had to pull last week for reasons out of our control, thanks for still travelling out and cornering and thank you to all at SG for your help in preparing and especially to Luke and Sam for your continued awesome work training the fighters 👍✌️
