I myself started my Aikido journey in Gdansk, Poland well over 20 years ago (25 years give or take but who is counting!).
And as I always say, Aikido is not just a martial art, it’s a way of life, community, friends. ☺️

Once in a while I will treat myself to a new Aikidogi 😎(or is it Kimono, Gi or Keikogi?)

According to Seidoshop.com: ‘it is (…) possible to use the term "Keikogi" (meaning work/practice clothes) Dogi (clothing of the way) or Aikidogi (clothing of Aikido).

Gi" in Japanese means "clothing", while "Kimono" is the traditional Japanese garment often worn for ceremonies. The term "Aikido Kimono" has been improperly used in the west for decades and it is now difficult to correct this error.’
