What a fantastic assembly this afternoon! 🌟 It was wonderful to welcome parents into school as our EYFS and KS1 children proudly shared their learning from across the year 📚✨ From science 🔬, to writing ✍️, to history 🏛️… you have all been working incredibly hard!! Well done to everyone - what a brilliant showcase! 🎉🌈

Oak Class have been practicing using Canva to publish magazine covers! They changed backgrounds, text, images and style. They also worked in groups to create colourful pieces of work and explore the Canva platform!🤩❤️👏

Y1/Y2 investigated different wild flowers found in the school grounds in their science lesson yesterday!🌼 They were tasked with investigating the number of daisies and dandelions in 3 separate locations.📝

In Art, Y1/Y2 have begun to look at collages! They used templates to create houses over a tissue paper collage. 😍👏🖍️🎨

In English, KS1 continued to read 'The Secrets of Black Rock'. Over lunch time, someone had snuck into their classroom and made a den! They used the clues to help them work out that it was Erin’s den!🤩❤️🕵️‍♀️

One of our amazing parents has signed up to take on an incredible personal challenge to help support Friends of Crowton School and raise funds for our outdoor classroom project!🌈❤️

They have committed to completing:
✅10k Run (already completed in March!)
✅Half Marathon - May
✅Full Marathon - October

All funds raised will go towards our long‑awaited outdoor classroom, which Friends of Crowton School continue to fundraise for!🌟💫

💛 Any contribution, no matter how small, would be hugely appreciated.

Wow! Miss Hill has enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with EYFS!❤️ We celebrated Sir David Attenborough’s 100th Birthday!🥳 The children drew pictures to show things they care about, we went on a minibeast hunt around school, painted a picture of our planet and took part in the Picture News live assembly!🌍❤️🫶🏻🤩

This week in Art, Y3/Y4 developed their gradient skills! They used water, coloured paint and white tones to create gradients on card. They also used cardboard squidgies to pull and drag paint in different directions to make a colourful background page. 👏❤️🎨
