This week the children will be cheering on our wonderful Deputy Manager, Ali Wilson as she takes on her Coppafeel Trek along the Jurassic Coast! ☀️🙂

As some of you know I will be taking on the 100km charity trek of the Jurassic Coast in June, memory of my mum who I lost to breast cancer when she was just 45yrs old. I have been lucky enough to have some great local businesses donate prizes to me so am holding a raffle to raise money towards my fundraising target of £2500. We’re delighted to announce our NEW extended wrap around care hours from September 2026 to help support busy families and provide even more flexibility for parents and carers.

🕖 Earlier drop-offs from 7.30am
🕔 Later pick-up until 5pm

Our extended hours mean more convenience for families while children continue to enjoy play, learning and care with our experienced team.

Unleash creativity at Squirrels Preschool 🐿️🎨

Our little artists got creative with fruits and veggies - carrots, broccoli, lemons, and potatoes! 🥕🥦🍋🥔

The children loved exploring different textures, patterns, and smells as they dipped, stamped, and swirled across the paper. Every creation was unique, from broccoli's bumpy prints to potatoes' bold shapes ✨

This messy play experience supports various EYFS areas:
🌈 Expressive Arts & Design - exploring creativity and imagination
🖐️ Physical Development - building fine motor skills and coordination
🧠 Understanding the World - discovering natural materials through touch and smell
💬 Communication & Language - describing what they see, feel, and experience

Most importantly, the children had a blast getting messy! 💛

Lauren lives with her partner, Nathan and their two children, Paisley and Grayson 💕

When she’s not busy at nursery, Lauren loves going on family days out, baking tasty treats and going on holiday! ✈️ ☀️

Lauren enjoys reading the story One Banana’s, Two Banana’s to her daughter at bedtime each night 🍌

We enjoyed a lovely little afternoon doing forest school activities with a trip to the little wood near by. The children loved hunting for mini beasts and spotted lots of different coloured flowers. We even had a game of cooee among the bluebells

Introducing our new movement areas at Squirrels Preschool Nursery! 🐿️✨ We're excited to support the power of Jabadao movement play, bringing the EYFS to life through physical exploration. 💫 Jabadao is all about learning through movement - rolling, spinning, balancing, and discovering what their bodies can do. These experiences are key to building strong foundations for confidence, coordination, and brain development. 🧠💛 In our new spaces, children can move freely, develop balance and strength, build connections, and grow in confidence. Movement isn’t just play - it’s essential learning, supporting key areas of the EYFS. 🌱
