Onyx Class have been drawing illustrations of Ernest Shackleton in the style of William Grill, who is the author of their focus text ‘Shackleton’s Journey.’ They used a limited palette and ensured they capture tone. Don’t they look fab?!

What a fabulous day we had yesterday at Chester Zoo. We saw lots of animals and shared what we have learnt about animals and their habitats with the staff. Pearl Class have learnt so much this half term and it was lovely to celebrate it with the trip to the Zoo.

Young Voices 2025…what a night! The Little Leigh Primary School Choir sang and danced their hearts out at the Young Voices concert last night. We are super proud of our young singers and all of their hard work paid off.

Another trip to the reading shop for Emerald. One child had a total of 50 reading dojo points and the other child had reached to 100 reading dojo points which meant she could choose a book to take home. Well done to our fantastic readers!

For Onyx Class created their own islands of personality inspired by the Pixar film ‘Inside Out.’ We discussed how these islands are created from our past memories, emotions, live experiences and passions

Pearl Class had another fabulous trip to the Kitchen Garden this week. They helped to prepare the ground and plant out some potatoes. They can’t wait to taste them!
