We have been busy on Fox Class this week! Take a look at our writing where we were trying to encourage people to look after our environment. In Maths we have introduced the Part Whole Model to help us with our number sentences. In Art, we have used recyclable materials to create a landscape collage. Great job everyone!

🦎Chameleon Class – What a Lovely Week!

What a lovely week we have had in Chameleon Class! 🌟

🔢 Maths: We have really got stuck into our maths this week, working hard, challenging ourselves and celebrating our successes!

💚 Mental Health Day: We enjoyed a range of fun activities to celebrate Mental Health Day and thought about the importance of looking after our wellbeing and each other.

📚 The Wild Robot: We have started reading The Wild Robot in guided reading and have been sharing our thoughts, predictions and ideas. 🤖🌿 We added our ideas to our classroom display for everyone to enjoy!

This term in Koala Class we have been focusing on the topic 'All About Me'. Earlier on in the term, we create our own self-portraits using creative media, and this week we extended this to self-portrait pancakes! The children demonstrated some amazing fine motor skills, hand eye-coordination and concentration to chop bananas, strawberries and blueberries. They also showcased great spatial awareness when spreading their jam base and organising the fruit to make their faces. Koalas favourite part of this activity was eating their delicious faces!

Jaguar Class have really enjoyed the last week. We has a rainforest ranger visit us and he brought some really cool animals with him! We were able to touch and hold some of them !
We have also made fruit salad butterflies! We designed them thinking about the kinds of fruits, the colours and patterns. They looked delicious !

This week in Nursery we have really enjoyed doing Squiggle Whilst you Wiggle in the hall. Squiggle Whilst You Wiggle is an early writing program that uses dance and large body movements to help children develop the muscle control they need for writing. The children in Squirrel class loved dancing to music using a range of different movements. We then did the same movements to music whilst drawing on large paper, it was lots of fun!

🐻🌟 Today was the day Barney came home! 🌟🐻

For those that don't know, Barney is the bear that all four of our EYFS classes helped to decorate for their chosen charity, The Elenor Hospice! Where he was displayed for their bear hunt in the Lego shop in Bluewater!

Each class put their own special touch on Barney, and we’re so proud of the wonderful designs they created together!

Barney is now back at school as the bear hunt has finished, we wanted to take a moment to say a huge well done to all of our EYFS children for their creativity, teamwork and enthusiasm! 💕🐾
