Geckos have been busy investigating different types of rocks and minerals. In one experiment, we saw the air pockets in the chalk being filled with water. We have also created some really great cave drawings/ paintings.

Coyote Class thoroughly enjoyed researching, designing and then making their Viking longships. We especially loved making each of our sails personal to ourselves!

Fox Class had a great trip to Gravesend to complete some landscape sketches!

In Squirrel class this week we really enjoyed exploring magnets in our large tuff tray. The children used one of the magnets provided to ‘fish’ for the paper clipped ocean related things under the sea of shredded paper. We discussed magnets as a class, so the children had a better understanding of how they worked and the science involved. The children were all really interested and enjoyed experimenting with the magnets inside the tuff as well as seeing what they could ‘catch’.

Jaguar Class have tried some new food this week - lychee, gooseberry, dragon fruit and radishes. We tasted, spicy, sweet and sour. We are so proud of ourselves for trying something new!
