🎉 Celebrating another year of outstanding achievement! 🎉

Our Year 11s have absolutely smashed it — with a 10% increase in students earning Grade 5+ in English and Maths (above last year’s national average!) and a 2% rise in Grade 4+. These results truly show the hard work, resilience, and determination they’ve put in. Thanks to the support of our Results Hub, every student is now set up to move confidently into the next stage of their journey.

Our Sixth Form students have also had a fantastic year. Every single student who applied to university secured a place at their chosen destination, and our IBCP and vocational courses performed above national averages once again. 🎓✨

We couldn’t be prouder of the dedication shown across the school. Huge congratulations to all our students — we can’t wait to see what you achieve next!

With breathtaking views along the way, our students have shown incredible teamwork, determination and resilience as they supported each other and embraced the challenge. We’re so proud of them.

🌍✨ Activities Week is Underway! ✨🌍

Yesterday marked the start of another exciting Activities Week at NTC! Throughout the week, our students will be taking part in a wide range of trips, visits and enrichment activities, giving them the opportunity to develop new skills, build confidence, create lasting memories and experience learning beyond the classroom.

We're kicking things off with some fantastic photos from our students' trip to China, including an unforgettable visit to the Great Wall! What an incredible experience and an amazing way to begin the week.

Everyone at NTC is incredibly proud to see former student Kyran Thompson take the next step in his football journey after signing for Newcastle United.

The talented winger joins Newcastle from the Arsenal Academy, following a fantastic period of development where his skill, hard work and dedication have continued to shine. It has been brilliant to watch Kyran progress and achieve this exciting opportunity.

We wish Kyran every success as he begins this new chapter. Keep working hard, keep believing, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds! 🖤🤍

🏆 National Quarter Finalists! 🏐

Congratulations to our fantastic dodgeball team, who proudly represented NTC at the British Dodgeball Championships in Kettering after winning both the county and regional competitions.

Although their journey ended against the eventual national champions—who have their own dedicated dodgeball academy—the team can be immensely proud of everything they achieved.

Their teamwork, commitment and sportsmanship were outstanding throughout the competition, and they were a real credit to the school, representing NTC with pride both on and off the court.

Congratulations to all of the students and staff involved on an incredible achievement. We are so proud of you!

🚴 Ride Safe, Arrive Safe! 🚴

Cycling to school is a fantastic way to stay active, build independence, and reduce traffic around our school. We want every journey to be a safe one.

A few simple reminders for all our young cyclists:
🛑 Follow the Highway Code and obey traffic signs.
🪖 Always wear a properly fitted helmet.
👀 Stay alert and be aware of pedestrians and other road users.
🚲 Ride sensibly—no racing, wheelies, or carrying passengers.
📱 Keep phones and headphones away while riding.
💡 If you're cycling when visibility is poor, make sure your bike has working lights and reflectors.

Parents and carers, please take a few minutes to chat with your child about staying safe on the roads. Working together, we can help ensure every student arrives at school and home again safely.

Ride responsibly. Be respectful. Stay safe. 💙

What an amazing Sports Day! 🎉☀️

The energy, determination, and team spirit on display were incredible from start to finish. A huge well done to all our students for giving their all, cheering each other on, and making the day so memorable.

Poseidon were lead out by Sharkey, Ikenga beat their drums, Thor wielded an inflatable hammer, Helios brought the sunshine and Hercules brought the stag - can you guess who it is?

Thank you to everyone who made today such a fantastic success.
