Hertfordshire.
Horses to share.
We have some beautiful horses for share- either a full share arrangement where you can ride up to ten times pcm or a one weekend day per week only arrangement.
Please read the whole post before reaching out.
What our share arrangements DO offer;
For experienced riders only, horses that are not overworked ( far from it 😄🤦♀️) on whom you can progress and further your skills. Suitable for people who would like to take regular lessons and then have the opportunity to practice on the horse in your own time.
Perhaps you ride at a riding school and would like a stepping stone into horse ownership.
Or you used to have a horse but are unable make that huge commitment at the moment.
The chance to make use of great facilities- a lovely arena with lights, off road hacking, plenty of turnout for the horses, experienced welfare oriented coaching and general welfare for the horses, a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
Flexibility- so no jobs that require a commitment, in case you get held up or have to change plans. Of course you are welcome to do jobs as and when it works and grooming and cuddles are obligatory 😍 but your share horse will be checked and seen to even if you don’t make it to the yard.
What our share arrangements DON’T offer;
A cut price/ budget option.
The way we look after our horses ( think ad lib forage, turnout, nice beds, no overworking, staff caring for them who are fairly paid with a proper package) costs money. A lot of money.
So a full share is £295 pcm. One weekend day per week is £160 pcm. Vets, farrier etc is all on us. Lessons cost extra, so should be factored in.
This represents about a third of keeping a horse at livery and we can’t offer it for less.
If it’s more than you’d like to pay, please scroll by.
A way to access horse riding if you prefer not to have lessons/ coaching.
Undertaking regular coaching is part of the arrangement, as much as anything to nip any problems in the bud and to ensure further progress for motivated people.
An opportunity for beginners/ very novice riders. We don’t have share horses suitable for this level at the moment.
Jumping.
Going out to shows.
We do have clinics here however.
Going out could be discussed down the line after 6 months commitment or more.
