Happy autumn 🍁🎃

The children are enjoying their fist loaf of bread made in our newly donated bread maker!

What an exciting morning, one of the children expressed a real interest in animals, and i talked about how I used to have a bearded dragon called “woody” who now lives with my girls daddy, he kindly sent some pictures and we saw woody via a video today.

The amazement on the children faces was priceless to see.

My passion is child lead learning for two days we have fully immersed ourselves in this.

We talked about what woody eats, his tank he lives in and how tiny he used to be. How his skin sheds when he gets bigger too, lucky enough he had just shed so we got to see some of it too.

Yesterday I was reading a story and we talked about cactus’s and the boys and girls showed a really interest, so I bought some in from home for them to explore.

We talked about how they were spikey where they grow and showed them all the different shapes and sizes ones you can get, and then how we would paint pictures of them, a child wanted to extend the learning more so we painted the actual cactus’s and the pots.

A lovely afternoon, following the children lead.

This morning we had a big lorry deliver some items for the Brodie lodge, we enjoyed watching it unload the bags. Great start to the day 🚚
