As a flagship traction and rolling stock training centre, NTAR offers unrivalled facilities and courses for the UK rail industry to support the skills requirements. It acts as a central hub for accredited 'spokes', nationwide, maximising the reach of industry-leading training. Supported by the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills and the Department for Transport, NTAR will focus on addressing the future skills shortage in this segment of the UK rail sector.

NTAR is excited to announce that we are hosting our Step into Rail event for the first time since the pandemic on the 11th May 2023! This event is a great chance for individuals who have left the military or are due to leave a chance to see what the rail industry has to offer. With a CV workshop, talks from some of the brightest minds in the industry, and a host of rail companies ready to meet potential rail engineers, step into rail provides the perfect opportunity for individuals to take their first step into the wide world of rail.
