Today we had a lovely day celebrating Luca’s 3rd birthday. Luca is animal/Dinosaur crazy so we just had to celebrate his special day with friends at Woburn Safari Park.

Happy Birthday Luca 🥳

The colour pegs have been such a big hit with the children! It’s always lovely when a simple activity captures their interest and turns into lots of happy, learning moments. ❤️

Through play, the children have been developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, memory and concentration, as well as practising counting, colour recognition and matching.

There’s also been lots of lovely chatting along the way — talking about colours, counting together and sharing ideas with each other about colours. 🥰

It’s been a very busy summer here at Little O’s. The children have enjoyed park days, bike rides, BMX tracks, cinema, museums, water fun. Nature walks making new friends.

We really have had lots of fun and enjoyed many learning experiences.

Thank you for a wonderful summer of making memories 🥰 Little O’s

We say goodbye to our lovely Finley as he starts his next big adventure at pre-school. 🥹❤️

It has been so special watching you grow, learn and become the amazing little boy you are. We will miss your cheeky smile, cuddles and all the fun you’ve brought to Little O’s.

Good luck on your new adventure, Finley! We are so proud of you and will miss you so much. 💙✨

Did you know it’s Childminder Appreciation week? 🤩

So let’s give a massive shoutout to the incredible childminders out there 🥰

Childminders offer so much more than childcare, they consistently go the extra mile and make a difference in children’s lives every single day. We see the hard work and dedication you all put in and I’m sure we’re not the only ones! If you have a fantastic childminder in your life, now would be the perfect time to express gratitude ☺️

To all of our fellow childminders - we hope you feel seen, loved and appreciated this week. The creativity you bring, the magical moments you create and the love and care you have for your little ones does not go unnoticed ♥️

My Little O’s have been busy this week making purple Flower Tea, Rose petal cakes and leaf stew 😁

So much learning is happening when children are playing and using their imaginations.

We have discussed colours, numbers, size, hot, cold. We even covered emotions as one child asked me if I was happy drinking my Purple flower tea. 😃

We played the children’s favourite game of “ what’s in the bag”

So many lovely conversations about what each child had picked out the bag.

Little O’s garden is officially open 🥰
I’ve been working hard over the last few months to create a space for the children to get creative, use their imagination and just have lots of fun.

I’m so happy with it, I’ve still a couple of more things to add, but overall it’s a lovely little play space.

Thank you Bouncing Beans for coming to join in the fun x
