Farewell to Lisa Jeffery.
Yesterday the children said a fond farewell to their Headteacher Lisa. The children and staff enjoyed dressing up as part of a themed 'Disney Day' and everyone looked fabulous.
I know we are sad to see Lisa go but we can all remember this very happy day.

Our art project is in full swing! The children and staff are so inspired and the children are exploring their creativity in so many ways. Yayoi Kusama’s art is helping our nursery become a huge art gallery!

I think a few of our children might like this! Why not visit Salcey forest and enjoy the nature, the woods, and of course - Room on the broom! It looks very good!

Who’s ready for a family adventure at Salcey Forest? 🎀
All of your favourite magical moments from Room on the Broom have come to life in the forest, and Witch and friends need your help to find some of her lost items!
Pick up an activity pack from the Visitor Info Point and let the adventure begin 👉 www.forestryengland.uk/salcey-forest/room-on-the-broom

A few photos from week 1 of our Yayoi Kusama art project - exploring her work using black and white. The children have been truly inspired - one even asked if Yayoi was going to come to our nursery! They have made dots and circles in many ways, and explored art processes inside and outside. We have seen really high levels of well being and involvement, and so much high quality vocabulary. Here are a few photos from the week.

We are busy learning… nursery is a place for children and adults to learn! This afternoon we are planning an exciting art project that the whole nursery will be working on. We look forward to telling you more about this!

This week we had a visit from Andy who taught us how to use African drums. We had a go on the big drum, and all played a smaller drum. We learnt how to use both of how hands, how to play at different tempos and volumes. We played fast beats like a cheetah and big loud beats like an elephant. We also enjoyed playing along to The Lion sleeps tonight song. The children listened brilliantly and had lots of fun!
