We’ve been celebrating some truly wonderful moments in Miss Hoper’s class this week 🌱

The children have been busy planting and nurturing their very own tomato plants, and it’s been amazing to see their excitement as they watch them grow. There’s something so special about giving children the chance to connect with nature in this way.

Our amazing OT has also set up an amazing greenhouse for planting. With our school greenhouses, the children are able to plant, care for, and observe the full growing process — learning patience, responsibility, and the joy of nurturing something from seed to plant.

Gardening has also brought a calm, therapeutic element to the classroom. It’s been lovely to see how caring for plants helps the children feel relaxed, focused, and proud of their achievements.

We’re so proud of their hard work and can’t wait to see those tomato plants flourish 🍅✨

🌍✨ International Cuisine Day at Overstone Park School ✨🌍

Today we celebrated the incredible diversity of cultures through food, and what a wonderful experience it was! Our school was filled with colour, flavour, and excitement as students explored dishes from around the world.

From rich, traditional recipes to modern favourites, International Cuisine Day gave everyone the opportunity to learn, share, and appreciate different cultures in a truly meaningful way. It was fantastic to see students so engaged—trying new foods, asking questions, and taking pride in sharing their own heritage.

Well done to the school band too! GO Blue Doves!! :)))

At Overstone Park School, moments like these remind us how important it is to celebrate diversity, build understanding, and bring our community together. Food has a unique way of connecting people, and today was a perfect example of that.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed and made the day so special! 🌎💫
