Planting , Summer, scissor control , painting all lots of fun 🤩…. ☺️

We have been very busy at the setting.
We have had lots of fun enjoying the sunshine. We have helped to water the plants , and enjoyed being in the mud kitchen . We have also enjoyed practising our tennis skills during Wimbledon 🥎 . We have also had fun with looking at the British Grand Prix 🏎️ and Tour de France 🚲 🇫🇷 ! 
This is a special time of year with School preparation also. ☺️

We have enjoyed picking our strawberries 🍓 and using in our tea 😊.

The 3i’s of the activity
Can you rescue the Superheroes?

Intent -
To develop the children’s imagination and support communication and language by including a concept of interest (superheroes). Children to rescue the superhero’s from the trap, developing their fine motor skills and problem solving.

Implementation-
The children were encouraged to help their favourite superhero from the trap and place it with the corresponding badge. The children were able to freely explore the tray and use imaginative play with the superhero figures.

Impact-
The children were able to rescue the superheros and identify the superheroes and their badges by placing them together and sitting them down. The children displayed positive emotions while exploring the tray by smiling with their peers.

The 3i’s of the activity
Space tuff tray 💫🌓

Intent -
To support children’s understanding of space by exploring the different planets. Children to learn the names and identify the colours of different planets and their properties.

Implementation -
A tuff tray is set up as a “night sky” using black rice, and yellow glitter. Different planets are placed around the tray or partially hidden.
Children are encouraged to search for different planets and engage in discussions with friends and staff about what they have found.

Impact -
The children showed curiosity and excitement about space and planets. They engaged in cooperative play and discussions. The children developed and improved fine motor skills through exploration and were able to identify Earth.

St Mary's Church will be holding a family service on Sunday 5th July at 10.00am.

We love any opportunity to eat outside. But please remember a BBQ and the ground underneath it can stay hot enough to cause a serious burn for a long time after it’s been used.

So, stay alert and keep children well away from the cooking area until it’s completely cooled.

Testing found that the outer layer contains excessive levels of benzene.

If you have this product, stop using it immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.

And don’t forget, other counterfeit versions may also contain harmful levels of dangerous chemicals.
