This week we have learnt all about bees during World Bee day 🐝.
We introduced a new ingredients station to our mud kitchen area and this encouraged so much imagination. Children decided they needed a menu, so they found clipboards and paper and practised their mark making skills to record their menu ideas. They even made their own pizzas, using natural ingredients and role played making ice-cream.

We are now closed for the half term break and re-open on Monday 1st June.

The weather has been lovely this week and the children have been using water in their play and experiences. This week the children have learnt how the plants need watering when it is hot and sunny to help them grow and they have taken this on board and watered the plants very well.🌻
Some children chose to use large paint brushes dipped in water to paint the glass doors and others used water to enhance their play in the mud kitchen area, creating blackberry pies and engaging in so much imaginary play.

We are closed on Monday due to the bank holiday and re-open on Tuesday 5th May.

Have a lovely long weekend πŸ™‚

Look at our beautiful flowers 🌸
The children have been interested to see how the bulbs have grown since they planted them. It has sparked conversations about the different colours, the names of the flowers and which ones they like best.

This week we have been learning about the Easter story. Forest school talked about Easter and read a story where they made an Easter garden, so the children made their own Easter garden using natural items they found in the garden as well as lollipop sticks and pipe cleaners to create crosses.
We also had a lovely visit from Adam, Will & Jodie from Broadmead Church to talk about the Easter story with the preschool children, which ended with an egg hunt and children receiving stickers for their efforts.
We ended the week by planting potatoes in the garden and learning about what they need to help them grow.

We are now closed for the Easter break and re-open on Monday 13th April.

Wishing you all a safe and happy Easter πŸ™‚

We have now filled our sand pit with new play sand and the children are very happy.
We would like to say a big thank you to JLB Garden Services for helping us to transfer all the sand into our sand pit. We would also like to thank one of our lovely grandparents for allowing us to use their wheelbarrow for this job, it was very helpful.
We would also like to say thank you to parents that have kindly donated some of the food items that we listed on our newsletter. The kind support we receive is really appreciated- THANK YOU 😊
